Information on the country known as the "Buddha Country at Sea"

This is not a country, but a tourist attraction.

Putuo Buddhist country on the sea "wins with mountains and the sea, so push Putuo." Putuo Mountain is located in the jurisdiction of Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province, in the vast lotus ocean in the East China Sea in the southeast of Zhoushan Islands. The whole Putuo Mountain is in the shape of a rhombus, and most of the peaks on the mountain are above 2 meters above sea level, which is ups and downs. From a distance, it looks like a dragon lying in the sea. There are Fusaiji, Fayu Temple and Huiji Temple, 88 an tang, 128 Maopeng and more than 4, monks in the whole mountain. It is called "the first Buddhist country in Sinian" in history. The twelve Putuo scenes, such as Pan Tuo Stone, Er Gui Ting Fa Shi, Xin Zi Shi and Fan Yin Dong, are not only steep, dreamy and strange, but also have an indissoluble bond with Guanyin. A large number of existing monasteries are not open to the public. Mount Putuo accounts for the most water in many Foshan. China has an ancient geomantic culture. According to the ancient geomantic theory, "water" can carry and accept qi. The vitality of the earth can only be grabbed by the flowing footsteps when it meets the water surface, and it will not be lost. Most of the monasteries and an tang in Putuo Mountain are built halfway up the mountain, facing the sea and facing the north, and the statues sit firmly on the arc-shaped throne. Mount Putuo is surrounded by water, which also keeps its anger from spreading outwards. According to legend, Guanyin in the South China Sea once lectured on Luoying Mountain, an island opposite Putuo Mountain. During the Xian Tong period of the Tang Dynasty in 863 AD, a Japanese monk, Master Huiyou, invited a Guanyin icon from Wutai Mountain in Shanxi Province to return to China by boat. When passing through the Lotus Ocean in Putuo Mountain, he was caught in a storm, and hundreds of iron lotus flowers appeared on the water to surround the boat, but Huiyou was unable to move forward by all means. At this time, he suddenly realized that Guanyin Bodhisattva refused to leave. So Hui Hui prayed that if the Bodhisattva refused to go to Japan, a temple would be built where the ship docked to worship the icon. Suddenly, all the iron lotus flowers disappeared, and the boat floated downstream to the tidal hole under Putuo Mountain. With the help of the islanders, Hui Hui chose to build a "Refuse to Go to Guanyin Temple" in Zizhulin. Since then, Putuo Mountain has gradually become a Dojo dedicated to Guanyin.
