Aerial Photography of Tailing Mausoleum: The Mausoleum of Li Longji, Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty

The Tang Tailing Mausoleum is the burial tomb of Li Longji, Emperor Xuanzong, and Empress Yuan Xianyang. It is located on Jinsu Mountain, 15 kilometers northeast of pucheng county, Weinan City. Among the "Eighteen Tombs of the Tang Dynasty" in Guanzhong, it is the easternmost mausoleum, with a large scale and great momentum, showing the magnificent style of the imperial tomb of the Tang Dynasty-

After more than a thousand years of wind and rain, the Tang Tailing Mausoleum is still well preserved. On August 6, 1956, the Shaanxi Provincial People's Committee announced Xuanzong Tailing as the first batch of provincial key cultural relics protection units; On June 2th, 21, Tailing, together with several other tombs of the Tang Dynasty, was announced by the State Council as the fifth batch of national key cultural relics protection units. On October 26, 218, when I passed the Tang Tailing Mausoleum, I operated my own Dajiang Elf 4 drone to take aerial photos here.

The UAV rises from the southern end of Tailing Shinto and flies straight north along the Shinto. Stone carvings stand tall on both sides, and the tall Jinsu Mountain shines in the setting sun. The Tang Tailing Mausoleum was built on the mountain, and its shape imitated Chang 'an City: it sat facing south as a whole, surrounded by walls, set up two cities inside and outside, and built a tomb in the middle of the mountain. ?

The plane of the cemetery in Tailing is slightly square, 168m from east to west and 17m from north to south, with a gate on each side, named after the "Four Gods". Outside the Suzaku Gate on the south side, there is a Shinto with a length of more than 4 meters. There are 34 pairs of exquisite stone carvings on both sides, from south to north, followed by Huabiao, Wing Horse, Ostrich, Zhanma and Weng Zhong.

At the end of the north side of Shinto, there are two stone lions squatting, which used to be the site of Zhuquemen. Outside the four gates of the cemetery, there are a pair of stone lions, who faithfully guard the imperial tomb. This gate is the core area of Tailing, symbolizing Miyagi in Chang Tang 'an City. Today, a large number of cypress trees are planted in Suzaku Gate, which is lush and solemn.

under the hill, among the cypress trees, stands a stone tablet, which was written by Bi Yuan, governor of Shaanxi Province during the Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty. Why was Tang Xuanzong written as "Tang Yuanzong"? Emperor Kangxi's name was Xuanye, and he was the grandfather of Qianlong. He had to avoid it at that time, so Bi Yuan wrote Xuanye as Yuan.

It is recorded in the New Tales of the Tang Dynasty: "Xuanzong often visited the Qiaoling Mausoleum, and when he saw that Jinsu Mountain had the trend of dragons and phoenixes, he said that it was appropriate to bury me here. At the beginning of Baoying, he recalled his first ambition and set up the mountains and tombs. " In other words, Jinsu Mountain, where Tailing is located, was the cemetery chosen by Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty before his death. ?

However, when Xuanzong died, after the "An Shi Rebellion" in the Tang Dynasty, he had lost his former glory. The war in Henan and Hebei is still going on, the people are displaced, the two cities are in ruins, and the society is in chaos. Only 13 days later, Tang Suzong died, and two Mausoleums were built at the same time, which is undoubtedly "worse"!

Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty (September 8, 685-May 3, 762) was named Li Longji, commonly known as "Emperor Ming of the Tang Dynasty". He was the seventh emperor of the Tang Dynasty and one of the most legendary emperors in the history of China. The "Kaiyuan Prosperity" pushed the Tang Dynasty to its peak, and the "Tianbao Rebellion" pushed it to the brink of extinction. The love story between him and Yang Guifei was written as "Palace of Eternal Life" and "Song of Eternal Sorrow", with a lifelong regret, which was passed down through the ages ...
