Please tell me about the itinerary for a self-guided tour from Chengdu to Mount Emei in October.
I just came back from Mount Emei on National Day. For 2 days, the route is arranged as follows:
Take a train or bus to Emei in the morning of the 10th. There is a train to Emei. The ticket is very cheap, it seems to be more than 20, and it should be taken at the North Railway Station. We will settle in Emei City at noon. I don’t know if there is a temple with good food. In the afternoon, you can take a bus directly to the foot of Mount Emei. There is a tourist station, and then take a tourist bus up the mountain to Leidongping. The tourist bus fare up the mountain is about 40, and Leidongping is almost at the top of the mountain. There is no need to sit in the back seat. The mountain road is very winding and the car is very fast. It takes about an hour and is more than 40 kilometers. The ticket to Mount Emei is 150 yuan, and there is also 5 yuan insurance. Of course, if you have a local ID card from Leshan, the ticket is 10 yuan. In the afternoon, you can go directly to Jinding for a stroll. If you go from Leidongping to Jinding, it takes 3 hours if you go slowly, and about 2 hours if you go quickly. There is no need to stay in a hotel, hostel or farmhouse at night, just stay in the temple. You can basically stay in the temples on the mountain. The ones with accommodation on the mountain include Taiziping and Jieyin Hall. I’m not sure about the others because I didn’t live on the mountain. You can book a room first when you pass by the temple on the mountain. , then visited the Golden Summit and then returned to the temple for dinner. The conditions were pretty good. There were rooms of various sizes. There were usually not many people when it was not a holiday. You could change the price with the master. You could take a shower, but the quilt smelled moldy. Way, the mountains are wet. You can have dinner in the temple, about 10-15 people per person, enough to satisfy you, but you must finish it, and there should be no leftovers in the temple.
Get up early on the morning of the 11th, around 5 o'clock. It mainly depends on which section you live in and whether it is close to the Golden Summit. If you are lucky, you can see the sunrise. Don't eat breakfast in the temple, it's not delicious and expensive. After watching the sunrise, you can go down the mountain. On the way down the mountain, we stopped at a small shop to have breakfast.
Don’t bring too many clothes. Wear a short-sleeved shirt, a long-sleeved T-shirt and a jacket are enough. You still have to sweat~ Just bring toiletries, one bag per person, bring 2 cups, and 2 bottles of water to go up the mountain. There are boiling water rooms in the temple to collect water for free. Don’t throw away the bottles after use. , you can use a cup to collect the boiling water and let it cool down before folding it into a bottle. The water on the mountain is very expensive because it is all carried up manually. If you want to eat, don't rush to eat before the meal is served. Some bosses want to take advantage of the situation and raise prices. It's cheaper to eat in the small shops above Xixiangchi than at the ones below. Two people spend less than 500 yuan on the mountain for two days.
If you have to go back and forth in two days, it is not enough to walk up the mountain the whole way. You have to take the cable car at least once. The cable car is divided into two sections, the low-mountain section and the high-mountain section. The prices for going up and down are different. The fare is about 60-70. I didn't take it, so I don't know the specific price.
If you don’t want to buy such expensive tickets, just find a farmhouse on the mountain on the road and ask them to take you into the mountain. (There are many farmhouses on the road soliciting customers at the foot of the mountain, but if they take you into the mountain, you will have to stay with them. There) But you can’t go to the Golden Summit this way~ You can only visit a few scenic spots in the lower mountain section, because tickets are checked at several passes on the mountain~ It’s very strict now
