Regulating Method of Deficiency Cold Syndrome of Gastric Ulcer —— Huangqi Jianzhong Decoction —— Luo Dalun
I happened to be there at that time, so I met to help her analyze it. Her mother had a stomachache for two months, and her stomach ached intermittently, regardless of time. When I went to the hospital, western medicine treatment had no obvious effect, and the Chinese patent medicine used had no effect. I knew at that time that she was depressed. It happened to be winter at that time, and I felt a strong pulse. I feel a lot of pressure. This is called "liver wood against spleen soil" in Chinese medicine, and it happens to be cold. Northerners can't stand the cold in the south without heating, so their stomachs will be cold.
At that time, I hesitated whether to soothe the liver or warm the stomach first, because there was a matter of priority, and what proportion should I take. Finally, it is suggested that she take Huangqi Jianzhong decoction, a classic prescription of traditional Chinese medicine, and give consideration to both.
As a result, her mother's stomachache stopped after a few days, and the feedback was good.
When I encounter stomach trouble caused by deficiency cold, Huangqi Jianzhong decoction is my first choice. This is my experience in learning to copy prescriptions in the northeast and old Chinese medicine practitioners, especially gastric ulcer. So over the years, I have helped some patients with gastric ulcer recover. I'm here to tell you about my experience.
Zhang Zhongjing, our doctor in the Eastern Han Dynasty, wrote the first prescription in Treatise on Febrile Diseases, which is Guizhi Decoction. This prescription is very simple, that is, cassia twig, peony, fried licorice, ginger and jujube.
I've always wanted to tell you about this Guizhi decoction, but I only talked a little about its effect on cold urticaria. In fact, I will talk a lot about this Guizhi soup, because the meaning of this recipe is too deep.
Zhang Zhongjing used Guizhi decoction to regulate exterior deficiency and cold syndrome, that is, Guizhi decoction has the effects of pungent warming and relieving exterior syndrome, relaxing tendons and relieving depression, and harmonizing ying and Wei when patients suffer from deficiency of vital energy and external cold attack. At this time, the patient's symptoms are headache, fever, sweating, vomiting, white fur, slow or weak pulse.
We have always regarded Guizhi decoction as a recipe for relieving exterior symptoms and harmonizing camp and health. In fact, I have always thought that it is a channel to nourish the spleen and stomach and dredge the qi of camp and health. Huangdi Neijing holds that "the middle jiao is the camp and the Wei is the lower jiao", which refers to the source and operation caliber of the qi of the camp and Wei. When the qi of the patient's spleen and stomach is insufficient, the qi of the camp and the guard will go wrong, so Guizhi decoction is used to start the function of the spleen and stomach.
Guizhi decoction is used to strengthen the spleen and stomach, and dredge the passage of ying-Wei qi. This content is not the focus of today, so I won't say much. Zhang Zhongjing put this prescription in the first place in Treatise on Febrile Diseases. I think there is such a concept: righteousness is the key, and only with righteousness can evil spirits be eliminated.
In practice, as long as people who have a cold attack easily, and are afraid of the wind and cold, and their hands and feet are cold, we should consider whether to use Guizhi decoction, which has a good effect.
As I said before, Chinese medicine will be based on a basic principle, Gai Lou. Let's look at Gai Lou in Guizhi Soup.
Zhang Zhongjing doubled the amount of Paeonia lactiflora in Guizhi decoction, and added maltose, it became a recipe that completely nourished the spleen and stomach, called Xiaojianzhong decoction.
The amount of Xiaojianzhong soup we use now is generally:
9 grams of cassia twig, 0/8 grams of white peony root/kloc-0, 6 grams of fried licorice root, 9 grams of ginger, 0/2 pieces of jujube/kloc-0, and 30 grams of maltose.
Xiaojianzhong decoction has the functions of warming middle warmer, tonifying deficiency and harmonizing interior. It can be used for treating fatigue, abdominal pain, aversion to warm pressure, pain relief, pale tongue with white fur, or palpitation, fatigue, dysphoria, and dull complexion.
It is particularly noteworthy that Xiaojianzhong decoction can calm the qi of liver and gallbladder while strengthening the spleen, because Guizhi can soothe the liver and relieve depression, and Paeonia lactiflora can soften the liver, which is equivalent to calming the qi of liver and gallbladder, so that the spleen and stomach are not disturbed by the qi of liver and gallbladder, hence the name "Jianzhong".
I believe that the origin of this Xiaojianzhong soup should be very early. In the book "Auxiliary Travel Tactics", there is Dajianzhong Bupi Decoction, which is Xiaojianzhong's soup with beef. In Huangdi Neijing, it once said:
"Poison attacks evil, grain feed, five fruits help, five livestock benefits, five vegetables supplement, and the smell is combined into essence."
We always thought it was a general term, but in fact it was a rule guiding prescription and medication. For example, in this Jianpi decoction, Guizhi, Radix Paeoniae Alba and Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata are medicines, and the rest, caramel is valley, jujube is fruit, beef is livestock, and ginger is vegetable. This is the earliest Chinese medicine prescription specification, and it is an application of homology of medicine and food.
On the basis of Xiaojianzhong decoction, adding Astragalus membranaceus, it becomes what we call Astragalus Jianzhong decoction. The prescription at this time became:
Six grams of astragalus root, thirty grams of maltose, nine grams of cassia twig, eighteen grams of white peony root, six grams of roasted licorice root, nine grams of ginger and twelve pieces of jujube (crushed).
Astragalus membranaceus in the prescription is usually roasted astragalus membranaceus, but I am used to using raw astragalus membranaceus, which won't get angry.
This prescription is used to treat acute asthenia caused by deficiency and cold of middle energizer. This syndrome is characterized by abdominal pain all the time, liking warm pressure and being lazy to talk; Or the heart is throbbing and fidgeting, and the more tired it is, the more ugly it is; Or accompanied by fatigue, weakness of limbs, dysphoria and fever of hands and feet, dry throat and mouth, pale tongue with white coating and thready pulse.
The method of decocting six kinds of medicines is to take five cups of water, boil two cups, remove residues, add maltose and digest with low fire. One in the morning and one in the evening.
The purpose of this Huangqi Jianzhong Tang Cube is that "those who are in a hurry will be sweet, and those who are insufficient will be warm". Famous doctors in Qing dynasty, especially Jing Ke, said in synopsis of golden chamber:
"In a hurry, empty pulse in a hurry, abdominal pain. Deficiency of both yin and yang leads to dizziness, palpitation, asthma, thirst, nocturnal emission and blood loss. If you are in a hurry, you must be very sweet. If it is not enough, it will be warm, and the emptiness will be filled. Then Huang Wei is particularly good at it. "
And synopsis of the golden chamber says:
"This side is made of Xiaojianzhong Decoction and Astragalus. Astragalus membranaceus is the product of benefiting qi and supporting the weak, maltose warms the middle and benefits qi, cassia twig warms the middle and changes qi, and Paeonia lactiflora has the function of benefiting qi and nourishing nutrition. Comprehensive prescription, its effect of tonifying deficiency and benefiting qi is better than Xiaojianzhong decoction. "
This prescription has a good effect on male physical weakness, yang deficiency and spleen and stomach weakness. I have seen old Chinese doctors use it to regulate men who are prone to spontaneous sweating. After taking it for a long time, their physique has been completely improved. This is a case I saw when I first studied Chinese medicine, so I have been paying attention to Jianzhong decoction.
Later, I learned that this prescription has a good effect on spleen-stomach deficiency and cold syndrome, especially on gastric ulcer diagnosed by western medicine. Supposedly, there are many reasons for gastric ulcer, and eating some western medicine can also cause it, and the gastric ulcer we see is caused by mental stress and improper diet. It is often that white-collar workers with particularly heavy work pressure eat irregularly. People who are often hungry for a full meal will have this problem, which is manifested as epigastric pain, mainly after meals. Western medicine examination will find gastric ulcer. At this time, if you have deficiency-cold syndrome, pale and white tongue, and your body is afraid of cold, you can consider using this prescription, because this prescription has the functions of softening and slowing down the liver, preventing liver qi from being uncomfortable, resisting spleen, strengthening the spleen and stomach at the same time, and also avoiding the grams of liver wood.
If the liver-qi discomfort is too serious, of course, we should take some drugs to soothe the liver and regulate the qi first, but for patients with spleen and stomach weakness and severe liver wood, this prescription is suitable, and the idea is to be strong, so as to resist foreign enemies. In this case, three or five pairs of drugs can generally see obvious effects. If you have such questions, you can consult a doctor nearby to help you judge. I believe many people will get rid of this disease.
