Chinese literature
China literature began with records and divination in Oracle Bone Inscriptions. A large number of books preserved since the Zhou Dynasty show the advanced level of intellectuals at that time. In fact, the Zhou Dynasty is often regarded as the touchstone of China's cultural development. These five basic points are the basis of almost all major research. The concepts in China's classic texts cover a wide range of topics, including poetry, astrology, astronomy, calendars, constellations and so on. Some of the most important early texts include Shu Jing in The Book of Changes and The Four Books and Five Classics. Many China's concepts, such as Yin and Yang, Qi, and the fate of four pillars related to heaven and earth, were theorized during the dynasty.
The Song Dynasty was also a great period of scientific literature, with the emergence of Su Song's New Directions and Different Methods and Shen Kuo's Dream Pool Prose. There are also a large number of historical works and large-scale encyclopedias, such as Zi Zhi Tong Jian by Sima Guang or The Four Great Books of Song Dynasty compiled in1084th century. Not only Confucianism, Taoism and scholars from all walks of life have made great contributions, and it seems that they are hundreds of years ahead from recording history to creating sacred concepts. Many novels, such as the four classical novels, have spawned countless fictional stories. By the end of Qing Dynasty, China culture will begin a new era, writing vernacular for ordinary citizens. Hu Shi and Lu Xun will be pioneers of modern literature.
