Function and working principle of accelerator cable in automatic transmission

The throttle is a part of the engine, and its function is to control the intake air, which is not available in automatic transmission. The automatic transmission only gives instructions to control the output torque of the engine when shifting gears. The change of this torque is mainly to change the ignition angle of the engine or adjust the throttle opening to reduce the intake air. The other end of the cable accelerator is connected with the accelerator pedal, which means that the depth of the accelerator determines the air intake of the engine (in short, the more the air intake, the more fully the engine burns and the greater the output power). The electronic throttle is controlled by the electronic control unit (ecu) of the engine without cables. In such a car, the accelerator pedal is also electronic, and the electric signal is sent to ECU.
