Xiling Snow Mountain, located in Dayi County, Chengdu, is a world natural heritage and the highest peak in Chengdu, with the highest elevation of 5,364 meters. Many people know the Xiling Snow Mountain because of Du Fu's famous sentence-"The window contains autumn snow in Xiling for thousands of miles, and the boat is moored in Wan Li, Wu Dong", and so is Xiaoyu.

Originally, the best tourist season of Xiling Snow Mountain was in winter, because the snow scene in southern China was rare. Second, because of the "blessing" of Du Fu's famous sentences, it adds poetry. While visiting Du Fu's Caotang, Xiaoyu decided to take a look at Xiling Snow Mountain. Unexpectedly, I met a fairy-tale romantic beauty in May.

On the first day

First of all, everyone took the cableway in the scenic spot to Xue Ying Square. The weather is changeable at this time. It may rain or snow. Early summer has arrived. At this time, there are already patches of pink and purple primroses, which add some bright colors to the misty mountains. It is said that Xiling Snow Mountain has the largest Primula Sea in the southwest, and it is in flowering period. As the city is about to enter summer, the spring of Xiling Snow Mountain has just begun.

The next day

It was sunny, and what you saw was a dreamy and ethereal scene. Under the blue sky and white clouds, there are patches of forests in the distance, lawns, flowers and fairy tale castles nearby, which are reflected on the snowy lake with rippling blue waves. It's not very pretty.

Xue Ying Square is a recreational area, with many sports such as grass skiing (skiing in winter), off-road vehicles and hot air balloons, as well as an area for children to play. Unfortunately, it happened to rain the day before we went, so most of the amusement projects were closed.

But because the scenery is so beautiful, all kinds of small scenery for tourists to take pictures are super suitable for taking good pictures. We walked and filmed all the way, and it felt great.

Let's talk about the practical information of traveling on the road:

1. Xiling Snow Mountain is about 9 kilometers away from Chengdu, and it takes about two and a half hours by car. You can navigate through go on road trip, or you can take the scenic spot through train at Chengdu Chadianzi Bus Terminal for free.

2. The area of Xiling Snow Mountain is quite large, which is divided into front mountain and back mountain. The former mountain is Fei Da Water Scenic Area, and the latter mountain is the main scenic spot, Xiling Snow Mountain Scenic Area, which attracts the most tourists.

3. There are two major scenic spots in the main scenic spot of Xiling Snow Mountain, one is Xue Ying Square in Xiaoyuwen and the other is Sun Moon Lake. The former is suitable for leisure travel, while the latter is suitable for sightseeing photography. There is a cableway all the way down the mountain, which is very convenient to go back and forth in one day.
