Where is Zhuji?

Zhuji is in Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province.

Zhuji City is located in the northeast of central Zhejiang Province, southwest of Shaoxing City, at the junction of hills in southeast and northwest Zhejiang, surrounded by mountains, and there is an open channel basin in the north. It is adjacent to Shengzhou City in the east, Dongyang City, Yiwu City and Pujiang County in the south, Tonglu County and Fuyang District in Hangzhou in the west, and Keqiao District and Xiaoshan District in Hangzhou in the north. The whole city covers an area of 23 1 1 km2, and now governs 5 streets, 18 towns and 553 villages.

Topography of Zhuji City

The whole territory is located at the junction of two geomorphic units in the hilly and mountainous areas of southeast Zhejiang and northwest Zhejiang, and consists of low hills of Huiji Mountain in the east, low hills of Longmen Mountain in the west, Puyang Valley Basin in the middle and river network plain in the north. Surrounded by mountains, the terrain gradually inclines from south to north, forming a northward open channel fault basin. The eastern and western parts of the territory are low mountains and hills, rich in trees and mineral resources.

In the east of Huiji Mountain, Taibaijian, the main peak of Dongbai Mountain, is 1 194.6 meters above sea level, which is the highest peak in China. Longmen Mountains in the west, with the third peak elevation of1015.2m, is the highest peak in the west. The central part is a valley basin with fertile soil and fertile fields, and the northern part is a river network plain with abundant water resources.
