Episode 1
Kong is born
p>The birth of Kong made the whole family immersed in infinite joy. When the grandparents came to visit, they all rushed to hug him and wanted to hold him for a little longer. For this reason, they almost had an argument. My grandparents, who have always been with my mother, also love Kong and hang around him all day long.
On the first day back home, my mother put Kong on his stomach. For the first month, Kong slept next to his mother. Mom held and rocked Kong when he went to and out of bed every day. She breastfed Kong for three months before switching him to milk powder.
Kong is the first grandson in the family. At first, grandma did not dare to hold Kong easily, for fear that she would drop the little Kong because she had not held a child for a long time. Until his mother was ready to go to work, Kong was left in the care of his grandmother.
Episode 2
When Kong was 6 months old, his father returned to Thailand. Although he had already completed his studies in the United States, my father stayed there to travel for a while. It wasn't until my mother wrote that she would get divorced if she didn't come back that my father immediately rushed back to Thailand.
Grandpa is a photography enthusiast, and he takes many photos of Kong every day. The photos at that time were all in black and white, and later they were in color.
Khun Jad (Khun Pisawas Wasuwat, my mother’s aunt) took care of Kong’s childhood photos. She helped her grandfather organize these photos in detail and recorded when they were taken. Yes, where was it taken?
My mother usually calls her "Aunt Wad", but because little Kong can't pronounce it very clearly and accurately, she always pronounces "Wad" as "Jad". So, everyone half-jokingly imitated Kong's pronunciation and called "Aunt Wad" Khun Jad like Kong. Gradually, Aunt Wad got used to the way everyone learned to call Kong, because she felt that it was much more comfortable to be called like this by Kong than to be called "Grandma Wad" (that kind of call makes you look younger!).
Episode 3
Kong is a very lovable child. Everyone around him loved him, especially Uncle Samart (Colonel Samart Jieranai, the neighbor's uncle). Uncle Samart always said that he wanted to get home quickly every day so that he could have more time to play with Kong.
Every summer when Kong was a child, his grandfather would take the whole family to Hua Hin for a few days of vacation. When I arrive in Hua Hin, the most common hotel I stay in is the "Railway Hotel" (now this hotel has been renamed the Sofitel Hotel). Sometimes I also stay in the summer dormitory of Julalongkorn University. In addition to Hua Hin, grandpa sometimes takes everyone to the "big city", as well as Rayong, Chantaburi and other places. Some of these trips were to see fish sauce factories, and others were to visit my grandpa’s friend’s fruit garden. Grandpa is a very open-minded person. During these trips, he allowed my mother to invite her friends to play together. I remember one time, my mother brought a foreign friend with her. She was the daughter of the Israeli ambassador, about 15 or 6 years old. Mom and she communicated briefly in English. On that trip, we went to Wang Tra Krai Waterfall, where there is a river with very clear water. This friend was very courageous. She put on a life jacket and went into the water alone to play. Unexpectedly, the current was very strong. As soon as she got in, she was swept far away by the water.
When grandpa saw this, he was very nervous and immediately shouted for help, and the scene suddenly became a mess. But just when everyone was nervously trying to rescue him, they saw this friend walking towards everyone calmly and slowly.
There are many interesting things that happened to Kong when he was a child. I remember that on the 7th day after Kong was born, my grandfather took everyone to travel to Bang Saen. There were three grandmothers and one grandfather traveling with us at that time. Along the way, "Grandma Dum" was holding Kong, and everyone was playing with him as they walked. Until Grandma Dum noticed a weird smile suddenly appeared on Kong's face, she thought he was making everyone happy. In fact, they didn't know that Kong was playing a prank at this time - pooping!
Episode 4
Grandma has a servant named La-or. She was serving her grandparents when her mother was very young.
La-or has 7 children. Her husband passed away early, and her seven children have been living with her grandparents at home. The youngest boy in La-or is called Eai. Eai is 4 or 5 years older than Kong, so Eai has been with Kong since he was a child. When Kong grew up, Eai still accompanied him as a driver. Just quit my job 3-4 years ago.
When he was a child, Kong had a car and he always liked to ride it through the garden to the pasture. The grassland is very dry in summer, so cycling is no problem, but it becomes a bit difficult to continue playing like this on rainy days. During the rainy season, Kong still wanted to play on the bicycle on the grass. In order to make Kong happy, Eai helped him push the bicycle from behind. The wheels made deep pits in the wet grass. This kind of mischief not only destroyed the pasture, but also made grandpa angry and helpless after hearing the news time and time again.
Grandpa loved Kong very much. Because my parents' wages were relatively small, my grandfather paid for the toys Kong played with and the milk powder he drank. He was also the elder who supported his parents the most.
Episode 5
Grandma is a bit fat. When he was a child, Kong was also chubby, with fair skin and a little curly hair. His appearance was particularly cute.
Not only that, another reason why everyone loves Kong is that he is very well-behaved and never cries easily. He sleeps when he is coaxed to sleep and eats when given to him. This makes the adults who take care of him happy. I feel very relieved.
From raising Kong, my mother concluded that the best way to raise a baby is that parents must be good at observing their children's every move and carefully understand what their children like to eat. When are you hungry? When do you want to sleep? Are you comfortable? As long as parents pay more attention, it is not difficult to raise every child.
Episode 6: Kong goes to school
When Kong was two and a half years old, his mother sent him to "Ban Dek" kindergarten. On the first day of kindergarten, Kong cried because he couldn't live without his mother, but from the second day on, he adapted to the kindergarten environment. During the three years of kindergarten, my grandfather was responsible for picking up and dropping Kong off.
When Kong was six years old, his parents moved out of his grandfather’s house and bought their own house. It was in this year that Kong was sent to "Krungthep Christian" school (Bangkok Christian School) by his father and began his career as a boarding student. Because my father was a student of this school, my grandfather and my mother had differences of opinion on whether to choose a boarding school. Grandpa thinks boarding school is very stimulating, but mother is opposed to sending young Kong to school because her two younger brothers lacked happy experience in boarding school. However, in the end, my mother respected my grandfather's decision.
When Kong first went to school, my mother was particularly uncomfortable with not having Kong running around the house. Every night, she would cry because she missed Kong so much. In the end, she couldn't stand missing her son anymore, so her mother simply took Kong back home from school.
Episode 7
When Kong was in primary school and junior high school at "Bangkok Christian School", his mother would drive him to and from him at first. Later, his mother asked a teacher to teach him in "Bangkok Christian School". Nualsiri, a teacher at a Christian school, asked Kong to go to and from school with her.
When his mother was responsible for picking up and dropping Kong off, he would sit patiently on the long-distance bus every day waiting for his mother to come over. Although my mother was very reluctant to let Kong sit and wait for her alone for a long time every day, she was helpless. In fact, Kong had many classmates who went the same way. It wasn't until he entered middle school that his mother felt comfortable letting Kong take the bus to school with a neighbor's classmate.
Episode 8 Kong and Music
When Kong was 14 or 5 years old, he practiced music with his friends in a music room near the school. Later, when he attended "Srivikorn Junior High School" (high school), Kong still insisted on running longer distances every day to practice playing music. Thinking about it now, my mother also regrets that she did not invest more money to support her son's music playing.
Kong has been quietly sticking to his hobbies, but has not asked his parents to do more for him.
Later, his mother took him to the "Siliya Music Vocational School", where Kong, who had a dream of music, chose to learn guitar. After studying in a vocational school for 6 months, Kong studied with a private guitar teacher for another 6 months. This period of study played a great role in improving his musical accomplishment.
During this period, Kong had several particularly good partners, including Joe Jirayut Watanasin, Piyawat Waira (Uud) and Korn Vijitkorn. They were all particularly obsessed with the "heavy metal style" at that time, and even learned to dress themselves in that style - growing their hair long, wearing leather jackets, and some even painted on the jackets, hung metal buckles and a long chain. And they proudly call themselves: J.Bomb. Gang.
Episode 9
While attending high school at "Srivikorn Middle School", Kong met John again. Later, the three of them, Joe-Kong-John, formed the band "High School" together. Their band was very famous in the school at that time, and they often performed at school anniversary celebrations.
Kong once traveled to Hong Kong when he was 6 years old. When I was 16 or 7 years old in high school, I went to Summer School in Singapore to study English for a period of time. After graduating from high school, Kong went to Bangkok University. Because Bangkok University requires that first-year students take classes at a branch outside the city, his mother drives him to the station at 8 o'clock every morning, and then Kong takes a 2-hour bus ride to school.
During this period, Kong was able to earn pocket money by himself. Their “NOUVEAUX Band” (Thai pronunciation Nuvo) will perform every night at the “DRUNGKEN’S PUB” bar. And the legend of the Nuvo band began...
Episode 10
My mother suddenly remembered something that happened to Kong, who was 4 or 5 years old. Because kong has a beautiful face and curly hair, which makes him very popular. One day, his mother took him to the supermarket. A man saw Kong and liked it very much. He couldn't help asking his mother to allow him to touch Kong's head. While patting Kong's head, he kept praising: "You are a lucky person with such a beautiful head!"
Episode 11
Kong is an amazing child with all the qualities Many talents, especially painting, are as good as his mother's, and he often wins prizes in painting competitions. Kong made money for his family when he was a child. When she was 10 and 14 years old, she was chosen to film milk commercials twice. When I was 17, I had my first magazine shoot experience. Moreover, when Kong was 16 years old, he and his mother participated in a photo shoot for "Di Chan" magazine. This shoot also included other upper-class mothers and children.
With these experiences, Kong often uses his spare time to model for fashion shows. Kong never spends the money earned through these activities and leaves it to his mother to manage, so that one day he can "save enough money to rent a music practice room of his own."
Episode 12
After having the Nuvo band, kong and the others also really want the opportunity to release their own music album. So my mother went to find an old friend of hers named May. Because May's job is to discover talented new artists, and her company has the rights to distribute records. When Kong's mother found her, she agreed to let the Nuvo band try out. But when the six members of Nuvo went to audition as scheduled, May never showed up. The band's first electric shock was just killed in the bud.
Later, Kong unexpectedly got an opportunity to work for Grammy Company, and he was to star in the MV of a singer named "Billy Ogan". This opportunity not only allowed Kong to be recommended as a Grammy artist. The Nuvo band also had the opportunity to successfully release their first album. And once the record was released, it was well received.
Since then, Kong’s workload has been increasing, and every day is occupied by various concert schedules. Even when there are no concerts, the six of them gather together and practice hard. Music, never dare to slack off at all. At that time, their music practice room was located at John's home.
It wasn’t until they released their second album that Kong, already 20 years old, made a formal request to his mother to buy his own house. Mom did not object to Kong’s request, but only made one request for Kong – “From now on until he is 25 years old, he must go home to have dinner with his parents and brother every Sunday.
"That's why my mother asked Kong. She felt that Kong was still too young, so as parents, they couldn't just let Kong live alone. Although Kong had become independent too early, they still had the obligation to continue to cultivate and educate him. It is not until the mother thinks that her child is 25 years old that she can completely let go of her control and let him fly freely.
Although Kong is now 37 years old (this book was released in 2005). ), but despite his mother’s request when he was 20 years old, he still insisted on going home to have dinner with his parents every Sunday, unless his work schedule was too busy and he couldn’t get away.
Episode 13<. /p>
Kong’s working life in the early days was much easier than it is now. At that time, the Nuvo band had free time to play around in addition to performing abroad, filming, and shooting magazines. However, Kong's leisure time has become less and less, and it has even taken up a lot of his rest time. Kong often shoots movies during the day and performs concerts at night. He has to be busy until 2-3 a.m. every day before going home to sleep. The next day, he had to get up early to continue filming and filming commercials. I remember the time when he and Marsha Wattanapanich went to Spain to shoot Honeymoon and Travel magazine. Kong returned to Thailand in the afternoon, and he didn't rest for a moment. We rushed to prepare for the concert tonight.
Episode 14: Kong’s younger brother is called Takoon
When Kong was 10 years old, his mother gave birth to his younger brother Takoon, nicknamed Gen.
When my mother gave birth to her younger brother, my father was not in Thailand. Kong went to the hospital every day to accompany his mother, and he kept his life in order while his mother was hospitalized.
Due to work requirements, my mother only breastfed my brother for one month and then went back to work. When my brother was 8 months old, my mother sent him to nursery school. When he was 2 years old, he went to kindergarten in Somtawin School. After finishing high school at Seven Days Adventist International School, he was sent to study abroad in New Zealand and Australia for two years.
Episode 15
My mother loves to listen to music anytime and anywhere. She always listens to music whether she is driving, at home, on a business trip, or before going to bed. Her mother's habit also deeply affects Kong and Gen. The three of them always like to sit together and quietly. Appreciate music. Listening to music is also a time for them to practice creativity and make the story. In the past, there were few TV stations and programs that did not often broadcast English songs. If there were MVs or concerts that played English songs, their mothers would record the videos. Kong and Gen are so impressed that they are also good at singing English songs while listening to songs with their mother. They like all kinds of music styles, whether it is Rock, Jazz, Classic, Latin or heavy, these are the tunes they pursue. They also have the same favorite singers, such as Gypsy King, Eric Clapton, Beatles, Ravi Shanka, Rod Steward and so on.
Episode 16
Gen is also very good at singing. Most of his favorite songs are English songs, especially songs by Pearl Jam, Silver Chair and Nirvana.
I remember one time, the TV station invited the three of us, mother and son, to be guests on the "At-Ten" program. Gen performed a song and Kong played guitar to accompany Gen. At the scene, my mother didn't feel much when she listened to this song. But one day at home, she heard the same song coming from Gen's room. Her mother suddenly thought it sounded very nice, so she knocked on the door and asked Gen what song it was. Gen replied: "It's Nirvana's song "Litium", which was also the song sung on the TV station that day." Her mother thought it was the CD Gen played just now, so she asked Gen to lend her the CD to listen to. After being told that it was Gen himself who sang it, my mother couldn't help but exclaimed: "Wow! The singing is great! It's exactly the same as the original one!"
Gen's ability to memorize lyrics is superb. He followed his mother to listen to the songs everywhere. Mother did not expect that he had memorized all the lyrics and tunes. Until one time, 9-year-old Gen went to Drunken’s Bar with his mother to listen to Kong singing. Someone also asked Gen to come on stage and sing a song. As a result, Gen sang 5 foreign songs in one go, including Paul Anka's Donna, Richie Valence's Spanish song La Bamba, and Bon Jovi's Bad name. After listening to Gen's song, everyone couldn't help but burst into applause. They all admired this child for being so good at singing English songs.
Listening to everyone's praise, the most proud person in the audience was my mother, because the success of the first informal performance of this little son who can sing English songs was perfectly accompanied by his handsome brother, Kong's super popular band Nuvo. foil.
Episode 17: Kong and Food
Talking about food, everyone knows that Kong is a person who likes to cook very much, and he can also cook delicious food. My mother thinks that this should be due to the fact that when Kong was a child, her mother often took him everywhere to look for delicious food.
I remember when kong was a child, his grandfather would take them out to eat every Sunday night, and Chinese and Western food were their most frequent choices. When Kong was about 3-4 years old, his grandfather took them to the "Golden Dragon Chinese Restaurant" where they served Xiao Long Bao during the day. Kong really wanted to eat Xiao Long Bao, but he didn't know how to say the word "Xiao Long Bao", so he gestured to his mother and said: "I want to eat... that round... white one" ...That piece is sticky and white, does mom know? I want to eat that white... round one." After listening to it for a long time, mom still didn't understand what Kong wanted to eat. Kong tried very hard to keep gesticulating and explaining, but his mother just didn't understand. In the end, Kong was so angry that he had to give up and stopped gesturing or talking. The people around him couldn't help but laugh when they saw Kong's cuteness. When during the meal, she finally saw someone eating Xiao Long Bao next to her, her mother remembered what Kong had just gestured with.
At home, because my mother doesn’t like spicy food, she doesn’t often eat Thai food. Kong was also not interested because of his lack of knowledge about Thai food. But when he grew up, Kong happily ran home one day and said to his mother: "On the filming set, I ate Thai food. Do you know? Now that I have eaten Thai food, I feel that these things are so delicious. I'm really sorry." I regret not eating such delicious food earlier!”
Episode 18: Kong and Cars
Both of my mother’s sons love to play with cars, especially Kong.
When Kong was 19 years old, he owned his first car, but this car was a "third-hand" or "fourth-hand" Volkswagen sedan. Later, he switched to "Mitsubishi Galant" and "Nissan pick-up" cars. Kong bought these cars with his own money and never asked for support from his mother.
When talking about the car, my mother remembered Kong’s name - "Sahara". After Kong was born, his mother originally wanted to name him "Kongfah" (meaning "shock the world"), but when she went to the "Wachirathammasathit" temple to discuss with the eminent monk, the eminent monk said that naming him Kongfah would not be good for Kong, because the name means more than He is too big in real life, which will be detrimental to his future development. So my mother wanted to remember that she was pregnant with Kong in the United States, because Thai people call the United States "Saharat" (?), so my mother asked if it would be appropriate to name her "Saharat"? The eminent monk replied: "The normal way to write Saharat in Thai is "?" (meaning the United States), but according to Kong's birth date, the word "?" will be detrimental to him. If the word "?" is used instead, not only will it be It helps others remember this name, and the changed name immediately has a good meaning. "Because the direct translation of "? (Saharat)" in Thai means "people with various means of transportation." And here it can be translated as "achievement, which means everyone gives him support and promotion."
Episode 19: Kong and his mother play together
Since Kong went out to explore the world on his own, we, mother and son, have had fewer and fewer opportunities to play together. My mother still remembers the happy times when she went to the forest of Kanchanaburi Province with Kong and several other friends. They traveled through mountains and rivers on the backs of elephants, took bamboo rafts, and went rafting. Kong took the lead and bravely rushed to the front as a guide. His momentum and pride were so majestic
Episode 20
Some people always tell my mother that Kong’s scenes are very natural, which shows his superb acting skills. My mother also thought of an experience she had when she was young. At that time, a director from an aristocratic family once invited my mother to meet him. In fact, before that, my mother didn’t know this young man at all, and I don’t know where this director heard about my mother. After having a face-to-face conversation with the director, my mother learned that he wanted her to play the heroine in his movie, and to collaborate with Sorapong Chatree, a very famous actor at the time, in the movie "Last Love". On the first day of filming, my mother arrived at the set at 10 a.m., but the filming ended at 4 a.m. the next day. During the filming that day, the director and other people present, including two journalists, praised my mother's natural acting skills. My mother's job at the time was as a Beauty Consultant Supervisor at Berli Jucker Company. Mr. Egli, the owner of the company, was unhappy when he learned that his mother was involved in the filming of the movie.
He was very opposed to his mother's behavior because he was worried that his mother would delay her job at the company in order to make a movie. After the director's son heard about the attitude of his mother's company owner, he was very angry. In order to keep his mother to continue filming his movies, he also offered to give her the highest filming remuneration, but her mother finally chose to be the main director. work instead of continuing to make movies. Director Gongzi's film had no choice but to choose other heroines.
Episode 21: The Aura of Mom and Kong
One day, my mother was chatting with Kong, because she couldn’t understand why the children were so excited when they saw her. Some were afraid of her, even though her mother just looked at them silently. Mom feels that she rarely meets children who are not afraid of her. After hearing his mother's doubts, Kong also said: "Me too, the children don't dare to approach me." At this time, Ading (a worker at Mom's scented candle shop) who was standing by also said jokingly: "Needless to say, the children, even people like us, are a little afraid of Sister Noi (Noi is my mother's nickname)." p>
Actually, my mother thinks that it is not because they think her mother looks vicious, but because her personality is more serious, which makes strangers feel distant. Three-year-old Eai is her mother's granddaughter (Kong is her uncle). She once called her mother a "fierce woman." At first, little Eai was very afraid of her mother, but after spending time together, she gradually realized that her mother is actually a very amiable elder.
Episode 22 (Finale): Kong and his mother’s secret to staying young
Many people have asked Kong and his mother for their secret to staying young. In fact, my mother believes that the way to stay young forever is very simple. We don’t drink, don’t smoke, don’t eat spicy food, don’t drink soda, and don’t eat pickles. Listen to music at any time and cultivate your own sentiments under the influence of music.
Kong doesn't eat meat, especially beef. He likes to eat vegetables and fish. In the past, my mother liked to eat steak. As they grew older, their sons were worried that their mother's preference for eating too salty and greasy food was harmful to their health. So my mother began to slowly change her eating habits. She also ate vegetables as often as Kong, and her love for steak was limited to 1-2 times a month.
At this point, Mom’s story about Kong is coming to an end. Through this book, my mother was fortunate enough to recall Kong’s experiences from his birth to his current age of 37. My mother is now 61 years old. However, my mother feels that she must continue to work non-stop, record her sons’ growth experiences one by one, and share them with more people who love them.
Finally, my mother would like to give you a piece of advice - carefulness is the character of an artist. No matter what we do, each of us must be careful, diligent, serious, serious and straightforward, and be kind to others. Only in this way will you continue to get happiness in your life.
