Aerial photography of cave geomantic omen

Hengyang, Hunan, is a city that many people will not suddenly think of, but will not feel strange. It is not a tourist city, nor does it have the elements of attracting young people and punching in places like Changsha.

Hengyang is very simple. It is said that the construction of Hengyang City is related to Vulcan Zhu Rong. Where is Zhu Rong's home?

Later generations regard it as the "Long Mai" in this area, and in the system of indicating the orientation by geomantic omen, Mount Hengshan in Nanyue is regarded as the embodiment of Suzaku.

This ancient city is located at the southern foot of Hengshan Mountain in Nanyue. Because the south of the mountain is "Yang", it is named "Hengyang".

In Hengyang, there is an old saying that "three mouths lock the river". In order to lock the geomantic omen, three "entrances" have been formed successively, namely, three pagodas lock the holes: Laiyan Pagoda, Zhuhui Pagoda and Jielong Tower.

Among them, the Pearl Tower left a deep impression on me.

Follow the navigation and drive under the tower, through a deep and narrow forest, there is a sense of silence that is clearly in the city, but far away from the hubbub.

Zhuhui Pagoda is located at Lei River mouth on the east bank of Xiangjiang River, far away from Laiyan Pagoda, and stands on Baiting Mountain on the east bank of Yangtze River. It is one of the three pagodas in Yancheng, and it is also one of the three pagodas that lock Hengyang's geomantic omen.

This pagoda was built in Guangxu period of Qing Dynasty, and was presided over by Wang Zhichun, Governor of Hengyang, Anhui Province in Qing Dynasty. It cost 62,000 silver and took 13 years. The tower is 35 meters high and has an octagonal seven-story masonry structure.

At the main entrance, there is the word "Zhu Hui Tower" inscribed by Wang Zhichun, and at the main entrance, there is a couplet "Go to leishui to help Wen Lan".

Although Zhuhui Tower is a relic of the Qing Dynasty, it is extremely simple, and the vicissitudes of time and the precipitation of history can be seen at a glance on its tower.

Under the sky, between aerial photography, the plants on the tower are entangled, the trees under the tower are shaded, birds and beasts are carved around the tower foundation, and stone carvings are embedded in the tower arch. It was written by Wang Xianqian, a scholar in Jiangsu Province, and Huang Ziwen, a magistrate in Ningxia. At first there were six articles, and now there are four.

There is also a small temple in front of the tower, guarded by an old man. I came here that afternoon and saw the old man warming himself in front of the temple under the tower. The surrounding environment was very quiet.

Tower stairs spiral staircase 3 yuan can climb the tower overlooking, you can also see the magnificent Xiangjiang River and thunder water.

Climbing the tower is one of the most convenient ways to go deep into the Zhu Hui Tower and get close to history. The light in the tower is dim, and a statue of Emperor Wen Jun stands on the first floor for tourists to worship.

This Wen Jun emperor may be related to the Wen Jun Temple in front of the tower. Unfortunately, Wen Jun Temple was destroyed by fire at 1958, and it has disappeared. But today's small temple is said to have been built later, and there is only one monk in the temple.

If you climb the second and third floors ... to the highest floor overlooking the surrounding scenery for dozens of miles, you must enter from the outer door of the tower (the spiral staircase in the tower is sealed). In the past, there were Buddha statues on every floor of the tower, but today there are basically no signs.

Climbing to the top of the tower, I saw Chashan in the east, Jiangxia Village in Xihu Township across the river in the west, Zhangmu Temple in the north and the intersection of Xiangjiang River and Leishui (Leihekou) in the south. Xiangjiang river and thunder water flow around like two jade belts, which is pleasing to the eye.

For example, with Zhuhui Tower as the center, the radius is more than 10, and the terrain is Ma Pingchuan, but there is a hill under the tower. People can see this pagoda hidden in water and mountains from 10 miles away.

Speaking of Xiangjiang River and thunder water, I can't help but think of Feng Shui again. I came to Hengyang this time for the exploration of Feng Shui. There is a legend about the construction of the Zhu Hui Tower.

According to legend, during the Xianfeng period of the Qing Dynasty, there were many foreign businessmen and tycoons in Hengyang City. A feng shui master said: "Hengyang has beautiful mountains and rivers, and its literary talent is romantic, gathering between the Xiangjiang River in Leishui.

The three rivers of steam, Hunan and Lei converge to the north, and the beauty, literary talent and money of Hengyang will also drift with the tide. If a tall tower is built on the Jintang River at the mouth of Lei River, as opposed to Laiyan Pagoda, people and wealth in Hengyang will be safe. "

So, after Mr. Cheng Shanglin, the salt carrier, advocated the implementation, and got the support of Governor Wang Zhichun, Zhu Hui Tower was built, facing Laiyan Tower across the river, and they were horns of each other, so that Feng Shui in the town would not be lost.

Therefore, Zhuhui Tower has the meaning of "picking pearls and jade to shine", guarding the lifeline of the city and keeping Hengyang mountains and rivers young forever.
