Who knows the story of Silverscreen Peony?

To the south of Chaohu Lake, the peaks stand side by side, and the steep Yin Ping stretches on the shore of Chaohu Lake. Because there is a big stone on the mountain, white as silver and shaped like a vase, it is also called "silver bottle". Yin Pingfeng is 508 meters above sea level, which is the highest among all peaks. Climbing the mountain overlooks the whole lake. But when you see the blue waves in the distance, your eyes are boundless. A pulse of green hills, clouds wrapped in fog, like a fairyland. The nine peaks around Silverscreen Peak are shaped like lions, and they are called Jiushi Mountain. The ancients called it "Nine Lions Holding Silver Bottles". There is a fairy cave at the foot of Yinping Mountain. According to legend, Lv Dongbin, an ancient fairy, practiced here, hence the name. The cave is dripping with milk, colorful, gorgeous and bright, and the two walls are lined with strange stones. This karst cave formed by limestone dissolved in groundwater can accommodate thousands of people, and various stalactites are hung on the top of the cave. In the crevice of the cave cliff, there is a graceful Bai Mudan with sparse branches and leaves hovering out. In Grain Rain, peony blooms, white as silver, gorgeous and fragrant.

There is a fairy cave on the mountain, which is famous for its strange flowers, strange caves, strange trees, ancient temples, famous pavilions and high pavilions. Above the cliff at the entrance of the cave, there is a Millennium Bai Mudan. Above the entrance of Xianren Cave, there is a cliff as high as 50 or 60 meters. In the crack of the rock, there is a vibrant and extraordinary flower. This is the silverscreen Bai Mudan, which has been praised as "the first wonder flower in the world" for thousands of years. There is a flower viewing building in front of the cliff. Peony flowers bloom around Grain Rain every year. According to the number of flowers, we can predict the drought and flood weather in that year (one disaster and two droughts, three or four flowers are peaceful, the grain is abundant, and six animals are prosperous. If the flowering period is too long, more than seven flowers will be flooded. Second, one flower is disaster-free, two flowers are safe, three flowers are drought-free, four flowers represent four or four wishes, five flowers bode well for the harvest, and six flowers prosper. If there are more than seven, there will be a flood. In front of the fairy cave, a pair of twin nanmu and a nine-branched broad-leaved tree grow gracefully.

There are many allusions to the reason why Silverscreen Peony is called exotic flowers and exotic plants. On that steep cliff, you can't see any soil, even the grass around the stone wall can't survive. It is really strange that a delicate peony can be born on such a cliff. However, the strangeness of Silverscreen Peony does not stop there. You can see it from a distance when the flowers bloom, but you can't see it when you really climb to the top of the cliff nearest to Silverscreen Peony. Many people climbed up and tried, but they couldn't see it.

Peony Pavilion, with three octagons, is called "the first pavilion in Anhui". Located at the peak of Silverscreen, it is Huizhou architectural style. On the top of the pavilion, you can see infinite scenery. In the north, the sails of Chaohu Lake fly like an emu, and in the south, the waves of the Yangtze River are like silver, and the clouds are stacked. Very poetic.

Longxing temple, formerly known as "Jiuhua in the North of the Yangtze River", is located on Guanyin Terrace, the highest peak in Yin Ping, and was built in the Qing Dynasty. ; Peony Pavilion opened a sightseeing cableway to longxing temple.

Since the Tang Dynasty, "Three Dynasties Grain Rain visited peony" has become a folk custom in Chaohu Lake.

How did this magical peony come to Yin Ping Xianfeng from its hometown in the north to settle down? There is such a story among the local people. On a cold winter in the Tang Dynasty, Wu Zetian of the Tang Dynasty suddenly had a whim and asked all the flowers in the royal garden in Beijing to open overnight. Faced with this unreasonable demand, five fairy peony from the Peony Garden, namely, red, yellow, blue, purple and white, got together to discuss and decided to ignore this order. The next day, Wu Zetian came to the garden to enjoy flowers. When she saw that there were no peony flowers in the peony garden, she was furious and wrote a letter to expel peony from Chang 'an forever. Later, five peony fairies flew away from their hometown together, among which three fairies, red, blue and purple, settled in Luoyang, Henan. Huang Peony, who lives in Heze, Shandong Province, is the youngest fairy among the five sisters. She drove Bai Yunfei for thousands of miles, and finally fell on the cliff of Yinping Mountain in Chaohu Lake. Moreover, I am not afraid of loneliness, and I am willing to live a poor life. I lived in a cabin on the cliff for a thousand years.

Another legend is that Bai Mudan, the youngest daughter of the Emperor of Heaven, came to earth privately and fell in love with a woodcutter in Yin Ping. The Emperor of Heaven was furious and sent heavenly soldiers and generals to catch him. The woodcutter slipped and fell off the cliff. Bai Mudan was heartbroken and jumped without hesitation. Since then, the beautiful Bai Mudan has blossomed on the cliffs of Yin Ping, attracting literati of all ages.

There is another legend about Silverscreen Peony. In those days, at the flat peach party in the Heavenly Palace, fairy peony went to celebrate the Queen Mother's birthday. Lv Dongbin of the Eight Immortals was delighted to see fairy peony wearing a white skirt. Then he followed fairy peony to the Silverscreen Mountain to flirt. Fairy peony jumped off the cliff in a rage. Her white nepotism fell on the branches of the middle cliff when she jumped off the cliff, and after several cycles in Fairy Peony, she became the peony of today's Silverscreen. It is said that this is why Silverscreen Peony is white.

Another thing that surprises tourists in Yin Ping is the 3,000-year-old trees that grow here. A tree named "Nine Buds Tree". As the saying goes, no one is perfect, and no tree has nine branches. But this tree has just sprouted nine branches. The tourists looked up at the towering old tree and couldn't help exclaiming. However, there are still careful tourists who find that this nine-ya tree is currently missing one. The tour guide explained: this is because one year an old tree was struck by lightning and a branch was unfortunately broken. As for why it's such a coincidence? Perhaps this strange tree, which grew on earth, violated the fate of "one tree can't have nine ya" and was punished by God. Although it sounds superstitious, today tourists can really see the broken parts. The other two strange trees are nanmu, with lush foliage. Staring at these two Nanshuhua, born together like twin brothers, tourists feel even more magical and puzzled: how can Nanshuhua, who has been growing in the south and likes high temperature and humidity, live and work here?

As the saying goes: the mountain is not high, but the fairy is in the spirit. Being in Yin Ping's Fairy Cave, needless to say, is really a bit like entering a "fairyland". It turns out that the fairy cave here is closely related to the legendary Eight Immortals. It is said that the hall in the cave is the place where the Eight Immortals often meet.
