Excuse me, why is the Hongqi Canal blocked now?
Hongqi Canal is located in Linzhou City, Anyang City, Henan Province. It is a national 5A-level tourist attraction and a national key cultural relic protection unit. Hongqi Canal was a project built by Linxian people in 1960s, aiming to introduce Zhang from the waist of Taihang Mountain into the forest. It is called "Artificial Tianhe". The Hongqi Canal Project 1960 started in February, and the auxiliary canal project 1969 was fully completed in July, which lasted nearly ten years.
There is water in the Hongqi Canal now, just for viewing. Symbolically speaking, the original intention of building a red flag has been completely lost. There are two reasons. First, the Zhanghe River water at the source of Hongqi Canal has basically dried up due to the dry weather in recent years, and there is no water to draw. Second, even in the abundant water period, many water conservancy facilities were built in the later period of Shanxi Province in the upper reaches, so people had to allocate and use the water in the upper reaches first. The current water is only saved under the coordination of the central government, otherwise there is no water at all.
