Knee figure 8 bandage

The dressing method of knee splayed bandage is as follows:

1. Preparation materials: bandage, scissors and adhesive tape.

2. Cleaning the wound: clean the wound with iodine or medical hydrogen peroxide, and wipe it with a sterile cotton swab.

3, winding bandage: wrap the bandage around the knee, slightly tight, but not too tight, so as not to affect blood circulation.

4.8-shaped winding: Starting from the top of the knee, wrap the bandage into a figure of eight, covering the front and back of the knee. Both ends of the bandage should be placed below the knee to prevent it from falling off.

5. Fix the bandage: Fix the bandage around the knee with adhesive tape to ensure that the bandage will not move.

6. Precautions: Before winding the bandage, make sure that the wound has been cleaned and dried. The length of the bandage should be appropriate, too long or too short will affect the dressing effect. Use a little force when dressing, but not too tight, so as not to affect blood circulation. Change the bandage regularly after dressing to keep the wound dry and clean. If the wound has symptoms such as redness, swelling and pain, seek medical attention in time.

Bandage dressing method:

1, ring dressing method: suitable for small limbs or trunk. First, put a dressing on the wound, wrap the dressing with a wound bandage, press one end of the bandage, and then tightly wrap it around the ring, with each lap overlapping about 2/3 until it is wound to the required thickness.

2, spiral dressing method: suitable for upper limbs or lower limbs. First, put a dressing on the wound and wrap it spirally with a wound bandage. Each lap should cover 2/3 of the previous lap and keep proper tightness.

3, reverse spiral dressing method: suitable for hands, feet and other parts. First, put a dressing on the wound and wrap it spirally with a wound bandage. Then, turn the bandage upside down and continue to wind it in the opposite direction. Each lap should cover 1/3- 1/2 of the previous lap.

4. Snake-shaped bandage method: it is suitable for strip bandages with good elasticity, and is mostly used to bandage fingers and toes. Wrap the bandage around the back of the hand or instep, and then thread it out from under the adjacent bandage, and repeat the winding and threading actions until the required dressing thickness is reached.

5. Cross dressing method: it is suitable for dressing fingers or toes of hands or feet. After winding the bandage around the root of the finger or toe, cross the two ends of the bandage, and then wrap it around the back of the finger or toe, and repeat the above steps until the required dressing thickness is reached.

6, triangle bandage method: suitable for head, hands, feet and other parts. Fold the triangle into a suitable shape, put it on the part that needs to be bandaged, and then tie it tightly and fix it. If pressure is needed to stop bleeding, a dressing can be applied to the wound before knotting.
