Please help friends who have been to Yunnan. I want to travel to Yunnan in mid-March. I don’t know if this season is suitable?
First of all, I wish you a happy wedding. I studied in Yunnan and like to travel. I can provide some reference suggestions. I hope it will be helpful to you.
Going to Yunnan in March is a good season since you can go to most places. The weather usually hovers around 20°. However, if it rains, the temperature will drop significantly, so you need to bring some thick clothes. Of course, if you find it troublesome, you can buy it locally, which can be bought almost anywhere.
The commonly used routes to Yunnan are actually those on the same route, such as Dali-Lijiang-Shangri-La. I have been to them all. Cangshan Mountain in Dali is very good, Erhai Lake is average, and the special snacks are relatively good. There are many, you can try; Lijiang is a place suitable for honeymooners and clubbing. You can find inns in the city. It is not the peak tourist season, so it should be enough for less than 100 yuan. You can also book inns in advance online. Sometimes You can find very cheap ones, such as 60 per night. I've stayed at Ah-Dai Inn and Sanjiangyuan Inn, both of which were pretty good. However, Lijiang may be a little humid sometimes. If possible, it is better to go to a room on the second floor. Shangri-La is not as beautiful as Tibet, but it is still very good, especially Pudacuo Park, which is very beautiful. In March, it is almost the flower season.
If you don’t like tour groups, you can go to a Camelback Club or something like that (which is also a travel agency) and sign up for a pure play group. This is a commercial vehicle, with a group of about six people. Only the driver and travel time are provided. It’s more casual, which is what I personally prefer.
The road to Lugu Lake and Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is quite circuitous. The scenic spots in Lugu Lake are quite beautiful, but the road there is more dangerous. The railway is currently under construction. Personally, I feel that the cost of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is high and the attractions are average, so it is not worth it, especially if you are from the north.
Others, such as Xishuangbanna and Tengchong, are relatively hot and have tropical landscapes, but they are not as beautiful as those in Thailand.
Not very famous landscapes include Yuanmou’s earth forest, Shiyang Ancient Town, Jingdong area, etc. Especially worth recommending in March is the Yuanyang terraced fields, which are in the stage of water injection. They are rare and very special. Suitable for taking pictures.
During the travel process, there are many counterfeit and overpriced items in tourist attractions, so you must be "strictly on guard".
I have returned to Kunming in March. If you encounter any problems, I am willing to help:)
Wish you a happy journey.
