Legal analysis: you can go to the local police station with your ID card or household registration book. It is usually recorded at the bottom of the account page. The settlement time usually refers to the start date of the household registration after the person's household registration has moved from place A to place B, and extends to all matters that need measurement registration and certification.

Legal basis: Article 13 of the Regulations on Household Registration in People's Republic of China (PRC), when a citizen moves, he/she shall report to the household registration authority for moving in within three days from the date when he/she arrives at his/her household registration, and submit his/her household registration certificate. Citizens who do not have migration documents shall report to the household registration authority in the place where they move in with the following documents: (1) For those who change jobs, change jobs and veterans, they shall produce the documents issued by the military service organs at the county or city level or above the regiment level; (2) Overseas Chinese and returned overseas students must show their passports or entry certificates of the People's Republic of China; (3) A person released by a people's court, a people's procuratorate or a public security organ shall issue a certificate from the releasing organ.
