Is Xue's place still in Ann?

Xue's hometown is on the east mound of Xiucun, which is ten miles east of Hejin City, Shanxi Province (later called Baihu Mountain). On the mound is the remains of the earthen kiln where Mrs. Xue Liu Yinghuan once lived. It is five feet high, five feet wide and five feet deep (also known as the cold kiln). At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, traces of kang and stove still existed. There is a hole in the brick white robe cave in the south of the kiln, and there is an inscription rebuilt in the sixth year of Qing Qianlong (AD 174 1). Honggutan in the south of the village, one mile east of Baihugang, is where Xue shoots geese.

Xue, formerly known as Xue, lives in the village below. His father's name is Xue Ping and his uncle's name is Xue Ying. Xue grew up at the age of twelve and could not speak. In this year, his family died one after another, leaving Xue alone. Uncle asked or not, so he had to come to the temple to eat the offerings alone. In the temple, there is a Taoist named Li Jing who is famous for his martial arts. He took Xue as an apprentice and taught him all kinds of martial arts. Xue is clever and eager to learn, and he is proficient in all kinds of martial arts. Xue is a big man with a big waist and a thick appetite, and there are not many offerings in the temple. How can he fill his stomach? The kind king and his wife often feed him. However, a small farmer's food is only enough for him to eat for a few months a year, so Wang had to introduce Xue to Liu's home in Liujiazhuang as a coolie. Liu Yinghuan, the daughter of Mr. Liu, often sees a white tiger lying on Xue's forehead, which makes this person extraordinary and affectionate. In the middle of winter, there is heavy snow like goose feather in the sky. I saw Xue sweeping the snow in the yard, finding out his father's expensive clothes from his mother's room and giving them to Xue to put on. When Mr. Liu saw Xue's precious clothes, he had many questions. Then he found his daughter's hand, became angry from embarrassment and threatened to bury them alive. With the help of Gu's mother, the two of them fled to the cold kiln in Baihu Mountain and lived there. Xue is hunting geese in Fenhe Bay, and Liu Yinghuan is knitting yarn at home. From then on, the two men lived a poor life here until Xue joined the army at the age of 30.

Xue (6 14 -683), a native of Longmen, Jiangzhou (now Hejin, Shanxi), was a famous emperor of the Tang Dynasty. The sixth grandson of the Northern Wei General was born in the Xue family in Hedong. Together with Li Shimin of Emperor Taizong, he created brilliant military and political feats, such as "a good strategy to stop the war", "Three arrows to determine the Tianshan Mountains", "Braving Liaodong", "benevolent administration of North Korea", "loving the people like a city" and "taking off his hat and defeating ten thousand enemies", and devoted himself to death.
