Who knows what "Genghis Khan" means?
The word "Genghis Khan" should be understood separately: "Genghis" and "Khan".
"Khan" is the pronunciation of Hana, and the following modal particles are omitted. It is the concept of the king.
As for whether the three words "Genghis" should be understood separately or just as they are, I have been thinking about it for a long time and have not remembered which words in our language are close or similar to these three words.
I just looked through everyone’s answers, and they all come from the Internet.
But I don’t quite agree with what’s said on the Internet.
Some Mongolian characters are formed by pronunciation. However, if the pronunciation does not correspond to the Chinese characters, similar Chinese characters will appear.
For example: My hometown is called Baiyinhushuo, but the name on my ID card is Bayanhushu.
The pronunciation is similar, right? But people who don’t understand Mongolian take a look: Oh, aren’t these two place names?
So, in the three words "Genghis", especially "cheng" does not necessarily mean strong, it is probably pronounced as "teng".
The word "Teng" refers to Tengger, which means a day similar to the sky.
We are not good at picking out words. If you ask me why I don’t know what it means, I can only say that I have never studied Mongolian. As for whether there is an explanation in Mongolian, I don’t know, but I don't think of any word in daily Mongolian.
What I understand is the meaning of "Son of God". These three words must be understood together.
"Gisi" may symbolize "offering" or "honor".
But it doesn’t mean sea.
Hai is pronounced as "drop line".
