Is Aoki mosaic poisonous?

1. The flower-leaf Aoki is a variant of the Dogwood family, and the Aoba genus is an evergreen shrub. The plant height can reach 1.5 meters; the branchlets are opposite. The leaves are leathery, ovate-elliptic or oblong-elliptical, with bright leaf surface and yellow markings. The petiole has grooves on its abdomen and is hairless. The panicle is terminal; the female inflorescence is a short panicle; the petals are purple-red or dark purple, the male flower calyx is cup-shaped, the female flower ovary is sparsely pubescent, and the stigma is skewed; the berries are oval, dark purple or black when mature, and the flowering period is 3- April; fruiting period is until April of the following year.

2. It is introduced and cultivated in parks and gardens in major and medium-sized cities in China. Distributed in Japan and southern Korea. Mosaic Aoki loves light and is resistant to both high and low temperatures.
