Visiting Stone | Zoucheng Changping Mountain Jade Emperor Temple Monument

Changping Mountain, located about 20km northeast of Zoucheng City, is 38 1 m above sea level and its main peak is about 40 1 m high. Because the top of the mountain is flat and wide, the ancients took auspicious meaning, so it was named Changping Mountain, also known as Pingshan. It overlooks Nishan, the birthplace of Confucius, on the southwest coast of nishan reservoir, and is located at the junction of Qufu City and Zoucheng City. To the east of the mountain is Zhangma Village, Nishan Town, Qufu City, and to the west of the mountain is Shanwo Village, Dashu Town, Zoucheng City. According to the 18th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (1892), "Continued Records of Zouxian County" contained: "Pingshan is Changping Mountain". Cihai is interpreted as "the ancient place name of Pingchang Township". Because the rocks are reddish brown or yellow, like flames, it is also called Jiuyan Mountain and Jiuyan Mountain.

There are many places of interest in Changping Mountain. Seven springs are very famous in rural areas, distributed in temples and mountains. Local residents have the saying "Seven Springs in Jiu Feng, Changping Mountain". The spring water is clear and low, flowing all year round, and it is a high-quality water source for nearby villagers. There are Kannonji, Huatuo Temple, Lingguan Temple, Mountain Temple and other temples at the waist of Nanshan. Among them, the Lingguan Temple and the Mountain Temple were destroyed, and the Jade Emperor Temple was the first one on a larger scale.

The so-called "Jiu Feng Seven Springs Changping Mountain" means that Changping Mountain has nine hills, so it is called Jiuding, and Jiu Feng has no specific name. Seven Springs are seven spring eyes distributed around the mountain, and the famous one is Yin Shan (now Qufu) Er Quan.

There is also the saying of "Nine Tops, Seven Springs and Eight Scenes", which are caves, cliffs, cliff carvings and other landscapes on the mountain. The ridge of the highest mountain facing west has dozens of steps in the shade. The cave is dark and bottomless, and it is steaming in winter, which is suspected of being a hot spring. ...

This monument is now located on the east side of Huixian Gate in Changping Mountain, and it is a well-preserved official script. It was built in the 9th year of the Republic of China (1920).

This monument is now standing on the outer wall of the Jade Emperor Hall in Changping Mountain. Founded in 2009.
