Traditionally, jadeite is generally divided into old species, new species and new species, and some are called old pit species, old pit species and new pit species. Old species refer to jadeites with dense structure, pure green, uniform distribution, fine texture, good transparency and high hardness; The new species refers to jadeite with loose texture, poor transparency, coarse crystal particles and visible to the naked eye; The old and new species are somewhere in between. The new and old species do not represent the formation time of jadeite, but reflect the completeness of jadeite transformation in the later period.
Second, according to the color, transparency, texture and other characteristics of jade, jade species can also be divided into Laokeng glass species, ice species, hibiscus species, golden silk species, Gan Qing species, cyanine species, bean species, oil green species, horse tooth species and so on.
1, old pit glass species
As the name implies, it is jadeite whose texture is as transparent as glass. It is the most transparent and clear variety of jadeite. This kind of jade has no flaws and no other variegated colors. It is the "queen" of jadeite and the top rare variety.
2. Types of ice
Transparency and water head are slightly inferior to glass species, transparent as ice, and high-quality ones are often sold as glass species, belonging to high-grade jadeite. So it also has high, middle and low grades.
3. Oil green species
Oil jade refers to a kind of dark green, the color is not pure green, mixed with gray or with some blue, so it is not bright enough, and the color can be from light to dark, so it is called oil green because its surface luster is like grease luster. It is also divided into high, medium and low grades according to transparency. There are tens of thousands of excellent oil greens, and here is a high-grade oil greens for everyone to enjoy.
4. Frozen waxy/waxy seeds
The texture is between transparent and opaque, just like cooked glutinous rice, which I personally think is an interesting variety. The texture of iced glutinous rice is also very beautiful, and it is also divided into high, middle and low grades.
5. Green species of flowers
Anthurium refers to a kind of jadeite whose green distribution is pulsed, but it is very irregular. Its background color may be light green or other colors, and its texture may be coarse or fine. For example, the Anthurium at the bottom of the bean has a coarse grain structure, which is called the bottom of the bean. Its irregular colors are sometimes densely distributed, or they may be sparse, dark or light. So this jade is called Anthurium andraeanum. There are high, middle and low grades. The color distribution of jadeite is mostly irregular, so it is not surprising that there are many kinds of flowers and greens. In fact, flowers and green can be further divided; Flower blue at the bottom of bean, flower blue at the bottom of horse and flower blue at the bottom of oil. Huaqing is a kind of jadeite, which is characterized by irregular green distribution.
6. Green species on white background
Green species on white background is one of the most widely distributed jadeites in Myanmar. Its characteristic is that the background color is generally white, of course, sometimes there are some impurities. The green color of the green species with white background is more vivid, because the background color is greener and whiter, and most of the green parts appear in blocks, which is different from the green species. Most varieties with white background are opaque, but some are transparent. This variety also has high, middle and low grades.
7. Hibiscus varieties
Its color is generally light green, without yellow, very elegant, and there is no obvious boundary between fiber particles. Although it is not transparent, it is warm and elegant, with a refined beauty!
8. Golden seeds
Golden seeds refer to the filiform distribution and parallel arrangement of jadeite. We can clearly see that green appears intermittently in a certain direction. Of course, the green belt can be thick or thin. The grade of jade in Phnom Penh depends on the ratio of color to green stripes and the thickness of texture. The ribbon is thick, accounts for a large proportion of the area, has bright colors and is of course of high value. On the contrary, the ribbons are sparse, and the light colors are much cheaper, so there are also high, middle and low grades.
9.violets
This is a kind of purple jade, which is generally light purple, like purple purple, hence the name. When it is matched with other colors, we usually call it Toona sinensis. So Toona sinensis actually means purple. Careful observation of purple jadeite shows that its hue is slightly different, generally speaking, it can be divided into pink purple, eggplant purple and blue purple. Pink purple with fine texture and good transparency is rare, eggplant purple is inferior, and blue purple is generally coarse, which can be further called purple beans. Purple jade, usually seen in yellow light, will appear purple, so be careful when buying it. Jade with deep purple, fine texture and high transparency is very rare, so it is especially favored by Europeans and Americans.
10, bean seeds
Bean is a very vivid name. We know that jadeite is a kind of polycrystal. If the crystals that make up jadeite are thicker, such as more than one millimeter, they can be easily seen by naked eyes. Coarse jadeite crystals are mostly short columns. When these short columns are clearly defined, they look like mung beans, so they are called bean seeds. "Ten green and nine beans" can show the universality of bean varieties, which can be further divided into: sugar beans, ice beans, fine beans and coarse beans ... so the value of high-grade beans is also high.
1 1, dragon stone species
It is also called dragon seed, a new term, which means that the combination of species and colors is perfect, color does not eat color, and color does not eat foundation. This is a popular word recently.
Cui Mo 12
We are also called Moyu, which is a precious and rare thing, full of mystery and luxury. It is as black as ink. Burmese people call it "the shadow of lovers" and Hong Kong and Taiwan people call it "the shadow of successful men". Its popularity can be imagined. Cui Mo is actually not black, but dark green. It is caused by omphacite or alkaline amphibole or secondary oxide. Like other jadeites, the quality of Cui Mo is divided into colors, and the craftsmanship accounts for a large proportion in the price of Cui Mo. Cui Mo is deeply buried in the surface, with limited production and limited exploitation. At present, Cui Mo's share in the jade market is less than 2%. Its unique hidden color features, combined with China's carving art and jade culture, are very attractive, so the water with good quality and high value is very attractive. Due to its proximity to the center of the earth, Cui Mo has a strong magnetic field. Feng Shui masters agree that Cui Mo has the functions of exorcising evil spirits, preventing viruses and driving away animals, and has a magnetic field that attracts wealth. The color varies from dark green to dark, black under ordinary sunlight or reflected light, green or dark green under transmitted light, with heavy color, fine texture and dense particles.
13, tie Longsheng
The Longken mining area in Myanmar, also known as Tianlongsheng, is favored for its green freshness and can be made into green ornaments, but it is limited by poor overall transparency. This variety is divided into eight grades. So there are also high, middle and low grades.
Hong Fei 14
Jade, red for Fei, green for Cui, it can be seen that the precious red Fei, in case of good water, the color is positive, especially the old pit, must not be missed.
15, yellow jade
In the market, the value of hongfei is higher than that of yellow jade, and that of yellow jade is higher than that of brown jade, followed by brown jade. But there are also cases where the price is different from the routine because of people's love and unique jewelry.
