How to treat some monks' behavior of breaking the precepts?

emergency help-help Li Xinyang, a patient with hematological diseases (click to enter)! ! ! Press: There are often netizens who are very angry about some monks' behaviors of breaking the precepts. For example, a certain mage in Guangdong is a Buddhist monk, and a certain rinpoche and his female disciples in Tibet … Even some Buddhist disciples are still upset about it, and even always write articles in their blogs. In fact, it didn't help us to practice, but it increased our anger, sluggishness and suspicion (and made the general public lose confidence in Buddhism), and even committed the great crime of slandering monks because they didn't know the truth. In fact, both monks and laymen are Buddhist practitioners. Before they become bodhisattvas, they will inevitably make mistakes, and their karma will be borne by themselves. So, as a Buddhist disciple, how should we treat these things? The following is the enlightenment of Tzu Chi Luozhu Kampo from the Wuming Buddhist College in Larong. I often encounter this kind of situation now. For example, when some laymen first came into contact with a guru, they thought that the guru was very good, and then they stopped and accepted some initiation and secret methods. Later, for various reasons, they had a negative view of the guru, and even had a bad attitude. There was a contradiction between the master and the apprentice, and then they were all worried about whether they had violated the secret precepts and so on. Many people come to ask this question. I talked about this problem in the topic of "Master Kong and Enlightenment" before. Most of you have read this article and listened to the class, but you may not remember it once. Therefore, we must not take it lightly in this respect. There is a more serious problem. I have met some people who used to study Buddhism more devoutly. They used to think that their guru or Taoist friend was very, very good. Later, they were so disappointed when they saw the improper behavior of some individuals that they stopped studying Buddhism. How to choose between these problems? First of all, I want to explain that no ordinary person's whole behavior can represent Buddhism, which we must admit. If anyone has to represent Buddhism, I think: Guanyin Bodhisattva can represent the compassion of Buddhism; Manjusri Bodhisattva can represent the wisdom of Buddhism. Besides, no ordinary person can represent Buddhism, so you can't generalize like this. It is a great mistake to blame Buddhism or Tibetan Buddhism because of the bad behavior of individuals and then stop learning Buddhism! Sakyamuni Buddha is omniscient. He has long considered this problem, so he told us long ago that the criterion for judging right and wrong is not to rely on people according to law. If you find anything wrong with Buddhism, you can say that I thought Buddhism was very good at first, but I found something wrong with Buddhism, so I stopped learning Buddhism. If that's the case, you have a point. You don't have to learn Buddhism. However, it is unreasonable if you stop learning Buddhism because of the behavior of a guru or a Taoist friend of King Kong. The actions of the guru and Taoist King Kong are their personal actions, and they cannot represent Buddhism or Tibetan Buddhism. We must distinguish this clearly. If you want to learn Buddhism, you can study hard by yourself, regardless of other people's right and wrong. In the future, you should not treat people who claim to be masters and living buddhas as buddhas easily. It is completely correct and reasonable for a guru like Ruyibao, the French king, to become a Buddha, but those living buddhas, gurus and Kampo, who are not well known, can neither become buddhas casually, nor slander them at the slightest mistake. If you feel the need to stop, observe slowly in the process of contact according to Tantric requirements. Tantric itself has a clear rule: a guru must be observed for twelve years. Tantric has talked about many standards of the guru. According to these standards, we should observe them carefully for twelve years. Only when these standards are met can we stop. After stopping, you can't produce any Jaken. Once you produce Jaken, you can't make great progress in your own practice. Of course, when I stopped the French king Ruyibao before, I didn't observe it for 12 years, and you may not have observed it for 12 years. It is no problem not to observe a guru like Ruyibao, the French king. This is our good luck and good fortune, because we met a rare good guru. However, it's a little hard to say whether everyone has such good luck, so we think: we must observe before going to the teacher; If there is no need to stop, we will not observe the faults of others. Others have faults or merits, which may not be observed in the short term. Even if they can be observed, it will not help our practice. Learning Buddha is the act of learning Buddha, not learning from Taoist friends or others. It is their fault that the guru or the Taoist friend of King Kong is not good, not the fault of Buddhism. All this is wrong with ourselves-we didn't observe it according to Tantric requirements before; Now you are slandering against the requirements of Tantric Buddhism, so you may never be able to practice the secret method, but you can only practice the methods of centrifugation and bodhicitta. Therefore, everyone must be especially careful on this issue. Recommended reading: Why does Maitreya have a big belly?
