What's the climate like in Sao Paulo, Brazil?
Sao Paulo is the largest city in Brazil, the largest industrial center and one of the four largest cities in the world. Located on the plateau more than 800 meters above sea level at the edge of the great cliff in the Mare Mountains in the southeast of the country, it is 63 kilometers away from the outer harbor in the southeast, with an urban area of 1.624 square kilometers, while the greater Sao Paulo area including the suburbs has an area of more than 2,300 square kilometers and a population of over1.300 million. Although the city is located near the Tropic of Capricorn, it is a city with pleasant climate, trees and beautiful scenery because of its relatively high terrain, rainy and cool summer, dry and cold winter and no severe cold.
Brazil generally has abundant rainfall and frequent showers, but there are few continuous rainy seasons, which has little impact on the journey. The weather in the Amazon Plain in the equatorial belt of northern Brazil is not very hot, with an average annual temperature of about 27℃ and a maximum temperature of about 36℃. The Amazon Plain is the wettest place in Brazil. Except in winter, there is abundant rainfall throughout the year, and the maximum annual rainfall is about 2500mm. Therefore, winter is the best season for sightseeing here. Central Brazil is the Brazilian Plateau, accounting for more than half of the country's total area. The terrain is gentle, the altitude is basically below 1500m, and the lowest point is only about 300m. Plateau is basically savanna climate, with mild climate all year round, drought in winter and more precipitation in summer rainy season. Brasilia, the capital of Brazil, is located in the middle of the plateau, with an average temperature of 13℃ in winter and 29℃ in summer. Northeast Brazil has a tropical and semi-arid climate, and it is in the dry season most of the year, but when the rainy season comes, there will be large-scale rainfall, and the annual rainfall will not exceed 1000 mm, which is a relatively dry area in Brazil. South Brazil has the lowest temperature, with an annual average temperature of 16- 19℃, an annual rainfall of about 1500mm and a humid climate. There will be snowfall in some parts of the south in winter.
