Introduction to Ancestor Mountain
Shizu Mountain, formerly known as Juci Mountain, is the remnant of Zhongyue Songshan Mountain and is located in the areas of Yuzhou, Xinzheng, Xinmi and Changge in Henan. As the birthplace of the Xiong family in ancient times, strange ancient rock paintings, spectacular castles, and mysterious sarcophagus tombs have been discovered in Juci Mountain. "Historical Records" records that the Yellow Emperor once climbed this mountain: The Yellow Emperor climbed to Juci and visited Dakai. He was ordered to ride in the wilderness of Xiang. The seven saints were all confused and had no idea of the way. The Shizu Mountain Scenic Area is located in Xindian Town, 15 kilometers southwest of Xinzheng City, Henan Province. It is also known as Fenghouding. It is said that this peak was named after the Yellow Emperor's fiefdom Fenghou. The geographical coordinates of Shizu Mountain Scenic Area are 34°21° north latitude and 113°32° east longitude. It is 2 kilometers long from east to west and 1.5 kilometers wide from north to south. It covers an area of 3 square kilometers, an altitude of 793 meters, and a relative height of 540 meters. It covers an area of about 12 square kilometers, with beautiful mountains and rivers and picturesque scenery. The cultural relics of the Yellow Emperor are scattered throughout the mountains and fields. In July 2000, the Henan Provincial People's Government announced that the Xuanyuan Temple on the top of the mountain and other scenic spots were provincial key cultural relics protection units. In 2001, it was announced as a patriotic education base for the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese. Jucishan Huangdi Cultural Tourism Area is a national AAA tourist area and a national forest park.
