The largest tomb of princes in the middle and late Ming Dynasty was unearthed in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province. What cultural relics were unearthed?
Jin Dian Tomb Site is located on the gentle slope at the southern end of Dongshan Mountain in Taiyuan. Jin Duan Wang Ling Lou Cheng? Work? Zigzag, 24 meters long from north to south and 8 meters wide from east to west, ranked first in the tombs of princes in the middle and late Ming Dynasty. This excavation is also the first time that Shanxi has carried out systematic archaeological work on the tombs and cemeteries of the Ming Dynasty captives.
The tombs of Duan Wang, Princess, Jifei and Lady (Tomb No.1, No.2 and No.3) excavated this time are located in the middle of the cemetery. Although the three tombs were stolen, there are still many kinds of burials, and the most rare thing is to preserve more lacquer wood figurines and fabrics.
So, what cultural relics have been unearthed from this tomb pit?
Among them, 90 painted wooden figurines, including civil servants, guards and etiquette, were unearthed in the central rooms of M 1 and M3. At the same time, 40 pieces of various textiles were unearthed in M 1 and M3, among which M3 preserved 4 pieces of basically complete silk, which is an important object for studying the crown service system in Ming Dynasty. M 1 Unearthed epitaphs and inscriptions at the same time are extremely rare. The epitaph records the death of Duan Wang and the political Z event in the process of Jin Lishi after his death, which is consistent with the content recorded in Nangong Bingce.
In order to carry forward the excavation concept of Shanxi archaeology in the new period and realize the high-quality development of archaeological work, the archaeological work of Wang tombs and cemeteries in Jin Dynasty has been actively explored and practiced. In view of the important value of tombs and cemeteries, the original site will be protected and utilized after the archaeological work is completed.
