What are the habits of rabbits?

(1) quiet during the day, good at eating rabbits at night. In the process of long-term survival and competition, the habit of being good at digging holes, staying at home during the day and going out at night has gradually formed. Rabbits lie quietly in cages during the day and are very active at night, eating a lot. It is observed that the intake at night accounts for more than 70% of the whole day. Under certain conditions, meat rabbits are easy to fall into drowsiness or sleep, and then their feelings weaken or even disappear. So feed the weeds, feed them at night, and try not to disturb their sleep during the day. For example, a rabbit will lie on its side or face up in a "U" shape, and then it will fall asleep within 2 minutes by gently stroking or pressing its temples along its hair.

(2) Being timid and afraid of catching rabbits is a timid animal. Sudden noise, strangers and strange animals, such as cats and dogs, make it panic. Rabbits have a keen sense of hearing and often prick up their ears to listen to sounds. Noisy noise, strangers or strange animals will scare rabbits, make them run around in the cage and stamp their feet at the same time. The sound of stamping feet will cause panic among other rabbits, and even the whole group will be frightened. In the management of feeding, we should try to avoid the noise that causes rabbits to panic, and the breeder should move lightly and try to avoid noise. At the same time, strangers are forbidden to visit, and cats and dogs are forbidden to enter the rabbit house.

(3) The sweat glands of rabbits who hate hot and humid environment and like dry environment are underdeveloped, and they mainly rely on breathing to dissipate heat, so long-term exposure to high temperature (above 35℃) in humid environment will cause a large number of deaths. The experiment shows that the ideal ambient temperature of adult rabbits is 65438 04 ~ 20℃, and the temperature in the nest of newborn rabbits is 30 ~ 32℃. Drying and cleaning are very beneficial to the health of rabbits. Rabbits are also very hygienic. They often "wash their faces" with their front paws and position themselves at three points: eating, pulling, urinating and spitting. When the rabbit's anus, mouth and nose are not clean, it means that it is ill. Need to find out the reason as soon as possible, symptomatic treatment.

(4) Under natural conditions, solitary rabbits burrow and live alone, and only stay together during mating season. Male and female rabbits and same-sex rabbits often fight together, causing trauma, such as biting off ears or testicles. Therefore, rabbits should be fed in a cage.

(5) The front teeth of rabbits are permanent teeth, which often grow. If soft materials are often fed, rabbits will naturally chew on wooden cages and other things to maintain proper tooth length. So put some branches in rabbit cages or provide pellet feed. When making a rabbit cage, try not to leave edges and corners so that rabbits can't bite, which can prolong the service life of the rabbit cage.
