The architecture of Changjia Manor is particularly primitive, and the Shanxi merchants' mansions such as Cao Family, Qiao Family and Qu Family in Jinzhong are far behind.
Introduction of scenic spots
In the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, when merchants learned from each other and business became increasingly prosperous, they often began to build houses in Che Gu Lu's hometown. In the ninth century, the career of Chang Wansui and Chang Wanda brothers was in full swing, and the mansion architecture also entered its heyday. Wan Wan built a street from south to north, commonly known as West Street; Wanda bought land in the north of the village and built a new street, commonly known as backstreet. So it is called two streets at home. After nearly 200 years of improvement, there are more than 4,000 houses and more than 50 buildings, covering an area of 600,000 square meters. The halls in the courtyard are exquisite, magnificent and spectacular. There are seven other gardens, including famous flowers and ancient trees, high pavilions and low pavilions, winding corridors and fast houses, as well as streams and ponds. Surrounded by the eight gates of the Li Qian Fort wall, the owners can live in seclusion, cultivate themselves, daydream, watch, browse, rejoice and sigh. Eight cans? The restored 40,000-square-meter mansion and 80,000-square-meter garden, although only a quarter of the original size, have basically maintained the manor style and reappeared the former style.
Changjia Manor is located in Chewang Village, Dongyang Town, southwest Yuci. The edge consists of four small natural villages. There is a big temple in the center of Sizhai, which is half a mile away from Sizhai, forming a spoke shape, hence the name? Rim? .
In the early years of Hongzhi in the Ming Dynasty, the ancestors of the Chang family often moved here from Huian, Taigu to herd sheep. During the reign of Kang Gan in Qing Dynasty, Chang Jinquan, the seventh ancestor, began to do business, and Chang Wei, the eighth ancestor, led Wanji and Wanda, the ninth ancestor, to engage in business activities, which made a lot of profits. Gradually, it often became a strong force among famous families and Shanxi merchants in Jinzhong, and began to build residential courtyards on a large scale. This feature is rare among ordinary people in the north, and only exists in many quadrangles of Shanxi merchants.
The grandeur of Chang's manor is beyond ordinary people's imagination. A 650-meter-long Qing street is displayed between an arched stone bridge with a width of 20 feet and a gate with a height of 70 feet and 20 feet. The north and south houses of the long street are close together, and there is no horizontal passage, which is formed? Street doors open in turn, while fort doors close? Mode.
