What's the weather like in Angola all year round?
Although Angola is located at a low latitude, it is not very hot because it is close to the sea and affected by the cold current of Benguela in the Atlantic Ocean. The annual average temperature is around 22℃. Generally speaking, with the increase of latitude, the temperature gradually decreases, and the closer to the Atlantic Ocean, the higher the temperature.
There are obvious seasonal changes in Angola, with drought and little rain all year round. September-April is the rainy season in the northern region, and the rainfall in1-February is slightly smaller. The rainy season in the south is 1 1 to February of the following year, with hot climate, high temperature and high humidity. May-August is the dry season in the north, and the dry season in the south lasts from March to 10. Angolans also call it fog season, because the typical feature of dry season is dense fog in the morning. The average temperature in dry season is 24 degrees Celsius, which is relatively cool, humid and rainy. The coldest months are July and August, and frost may appear at higher latitudes. May and September are transitional months. The continuous heavy rain in rainy season makes the periodic flood in plateau become the main natural disaster in Angola.
