How to debug industrial self-priming pump after installation?

Installation:

1. Before installation: check whether it is deformed or damaged during transportation and whether the fasteners are loose or fall off.

2. Installation and configuration of water inlet and outlet pipes: The principle of pipe installation is to reduce the fluid resistance of the pipe as much as possible. A filter screen should be installed at the water inlet to prevent impurities or solid particles from entering the pump to damage the shaft seal or cause blockage in the pump. A check valve should be installed at the water inlet to facilitate water injection and diversion. The pipe diameter of the water pipe must be based on the diameter of the pump, the outlet diameter shall not be greater than the inlet diameter, and the inlet diameter shall not be less than the rated inlet diameter.

3. Wiring: wiring must be done correctly according to the requirements of the nameplate. When wiring, the terminal must be firm, otherwise it will cause poor contact, which will lead to open-phase burning. An overload protection device must be used on the wiring line, and the setting value of the protection device should be adjusted according to the current requirements on the motor nameplate.

Start:

1. Before starting, use a screwdriver to toggle the fan blade of the water pump motor and check the operation of the motor.

2. Before starting, open all tap water and air bleed valves and inject water into the pump until the water overflows.

3. Connect the motor to the power supply and jog the motor to determine whether the rotation direction of the pump shaft is consistent with the rotation direction on the pump.

4. Connect the power supply and run the water pump.

Run:

1. When the water pump is running, attention must be paid to the voltage, current, frequency and temperature rise of the power supply, which must meet the requirements of the nameplate. When the water pump is found abnormal and the protection device continues to operate, it should be stopped immediately for inspection, and it can be started only after troubleshooting.

2. The pump is running normally, and the temperature rise of the motor is allowed to reach 80 degrees Celsius. If necessary, go to the previous step and check whether the motor current is overloaded and the three-phase voltage is balanced.

3. After long-term use of the pump, if it is found that the performance declines, it is generally mainly caused by the wear of parts (such as impeller and seal) in the pump. Should open the inspection, replace the damaged parts.
