Where does Yiyang Longtan Temple belong?
Longtan Temple is located on the east bank of Longtan River in the southeast of Sheyue Village, Zhangwu Township. It is named because there is a Longtan with an area of about 60 square meters next to the temple. According to the structural modeling characteristics of the temple, it can be inferred that it was built in the Jin Dynasty. There are 17 existing halls, such as Daxiong Hall, Tianwang Hall, Northeast Hall and Monk Room. Earth kilns also have 7 holes, with a total area of more than 3 mu. There are many stone tablets, weathered faces and vague handwriting in the hospital. One of them has the words "Tianhe and the first year" (AD 566) on it, and it is uncertain whether it is the age of creation. According to legend, it used to be the Longwang Temple, which was later converted into a Buddhist temple. There are two pagodas in the west and north of the temple. One is "Xiaogang Yungong Pagoda", which was built in the 22nd year of Qing Daoguang (AD 1842). There is Berlin Waterfall in the south of the temple with pleasant scenery.
Longtan Temple has four wonders: one is "Hundred Miles Longjing". As a stone well with a diameter of about two meters, the depth is difficult to measure. Legend has it that it is connected with the Yi River hundreds of miles away. Whenever the Yi River rises, sediment gushes out of the spring, hence the name. The next day, Longjing climbed more than 20 meters, and the image of a reclining Buddha could be seen on the stone curtain on the right side of the stream. His chest is bare, his face is facing the sky, his head is slightly raised, and his left leg is coiled on his right leg, which looks natural and serene. Legend is the image of Dharma, the founder of Zen Buddhism. On the west side of Longtan, there are dozens of meters high stone waterfalls hanging down, alternating with gray, white and green, with smooth lines and vivid shapes, like dragons and phoenixes dancing. In the center of this picture, there are two slightly protruding stone drums, which are hit hard by stones. It is said that if percussion is in tune, you can see the strange scene of dragon and phoenix dance. Fourth, "the word is out of the stone wall." On the stone wall on the east side of Longtan, the word "Buddha" is naturally generated and clearly visible. It is composed of white stone lines on cyan granite, and its neatness is amazing.
