The Legend of Kong Lin

In ancient times, powerful figures or princes and nobles paid great attention to choosing cemeteries and building graves for themselves before they died. It is said that Confucius chose a cemetery for himself on the banks of Lubei and Surabaya in his later years, and said to the grave repairer, "Build me 18 grave, and it is estimated that someone will dig my grave in the future." 18 After the tomb was repaired, the disciples said to him, "The tomb was well repaired, but there was a river missing." Confucius said with a smile, "Don't worry, there will be people digging rivers in Qin." . The disciples were puzzled by this, but no one said anything. 250 years after the death of Confucius, Qin destroyed Wei, Yan, Zhao, Chu, Qi and Han and unified the world. However, Qin Shihuang believed that Confucius' Confucianism was contrary to his tyranny, and he hated Confucius deeply. So after Qin Shihuang ordered the burning of books to bury Confucianism, another minister suggested digging a river in front of his grave to separate him from his hometown. So, Qin Shihuang led a large group of people to Kong Lin, and dug a river (our river now) in front of Kong Lin without much effort. Then he ordered the grave to be dug and the body to be destroyed. However, there are 18 tombs of Confucius. Qin Shihuang couldn't tell which was true and which was false, so he simply let all the migrant workers open from east to west. But when he dug the tomb of 18, he found a big stone. Qin Shihuang thought it was a coffin, so he asked someone to open it and have a closer look. However, this sentence is written on it: a descendant calls himself Qin Shihuang; Clean my grave, go to my bed, turn my clothes upside down, drink my wine, go to the sand dunes and die. When the migrant workers saw it, they thought that the sage appeared, and they were so scared that they left their tools and fled everywhere. When Qin Shihuang saw it, he was also frightened and fled with his troops. Who knows that not long after, when Qin Shihuang visited Hebei, he really met a land of "sand dunes". As soon as his large army set foot on the sand dune, there was a sudden strong wind between heaven and earth, flying sand and stones. Soon, Qin Shihuang's army lost its way and was all trapped in sand dunes, which just fulfilled Confucius' prediction and completed the last project to miss a river in front of Confucius' tomb.
