Causes of rainwater and floor drain leakage

Rainy floor drain is one of the common problems of family houses, mainly because the ground drainage system is usually connected with the sewer. When the sewer is intermittently blocked, the ground drainage system will pour water. The following are five main reasons that may lead to rain, floor drain and anti-water:

1. Sewerage pipe blockage: due to dirt and sundries accumulated in the sewer pipe, especially in rainy days when the water flow is large, the drainage system will be blocked and leakage prevention symptoms will appear.

2. Unreasonable design of drainage system: for example, the sewer is too small or the pipeline is too bent. Such a system design will limit the mobility and speed of water passing through the thin tube, which will lead to the formation of resistance and slow down or even stagnate the water flow. According to the physical principle, simply speaking, the sewer is not wide enough to stop the heavy rain, which leads to floor drain and water backflow.

3. Damage to drainage system: pipes of sewer system are cracked, aged, rusted, joints are loose, service life is out of date, and external pressure affects them. When water flows rapidly, it can enter the area outside the pipeline, causing the drainage system to overflow. In particular, the aging deformation of the rubber pad at the joint of the pipeline will also cause water leakage.

4. Rainy weather: Rainy weather, the displacement is relatively large, and the load of the drainage system is also increased. If the design of the drainage system is not sufficient, it is easy to have poor drainage and anti-water.

5. Improper roof design: it is necessary to design the roof material and the layout of the drain correctly. For example, if inappropriate materials are selected, water will not flow out in rainstorm weather. Usually, a large amount of stagnant water will form on the ground (stagnant water refers to the liquid form that cannot flow), which will cause the surface drainage system to reverse water.

Therefore, before installing plugging equipment in rainy days, we should first thoroughly understand the reasons, and after full investigation, combine professional technology and experience maintenance to avoid these problems.
