The difference between ancestral temple and mother temple

The ancestral temple and the old mother temple are two different religious sites, and there are some differences in history, religious beliefs and architectural styles.

The ancestral temple is dedicated to Nu Wa, and there are two sacrifices every year, on March 3 and June of the lunar calendar 15. It is a special place to worship Nu Wa, and the main hall is dedicated to the golden statue of Nu Wa.

The old mother's temple consists of five halls, including the mountain gate, the Three Immortals Hall, the sacrificial hall, the main hall, the wing and the attached hall. The Three Immortals Hall is dedicated to three female immortals, namely Xiao Yun, Xiao Qiong and Bixiao, and the main hall is dedicated to the golden statue of Nu Wa. The old mother occupies an important position in Chinese folk beliefs and is called the old mother temple.

Generally speaking, the ancestral temple is mainly dedicated to Nu Wa, while the old mother temple is dedicated to three female immortals and Nu Wa, with different religious beliefs and architectural styles.
