The reasons for the different names of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty and the Western Zhou Dynasty
At the end of the Western Zhou Dynasty, the country changed and the capital was destroyed by ethnic minorities. Wang Ping relied on his family to revive the business of his ancestors. Because the old capital was dilapidated, he moved to Luoyang, a territory close to the empress dowager. However, it is essentially the inheritance of the Zhou Dynasty.
The reason why things are divided into two parts is that future generations can easily distinguish them, mainly for academic reasons. Therefore, the Western Zhou Dynasty is a typical unified slavery country, while the Eastern Zhou Dynasty is dominated by the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, and the Zhou Emperor is subordinate to the imperial power, which is different from the Western Zhou Dynasty. Therefore, although there are the same names in academic circles, the actual social reform regime is divided into the Eastern Zhou Dynasty and the Western Zhou Dynasty according to the location of the capital city.
