The Five Heavenly Emperors are Di Qing Tai Hao (Fuxi), the Eastern Heavenly Emperor, who lives in the East and takes pictures of Qinglong; Shao Hao (the son of the Yellow Emperor), one of the five emperors in the legend of the Han nationality; Xuanyuan, the Yellow Emperor of the Central Heaven; Yan Di, Nantiandi (Shennong or Shennong's descendants); Zhuan Xu, the Northern Heaven Emperor (grandson of the Yellow Emperor).

The Five Gods were originally five wise tribal leaders and monarchs in ancient times.
