Besides being called "Kyushu", what other names do China have?
Flower: the same as the ancient "flower", it is called beautiful and brilliant. One explanation for China is that people in the ancient Central Plains thought they lived in a well-dressed and gorgeous civilized area, so they called themselves China. Zuo Zhuan Shu: "China ... has the beauty of serving the seal, which is called China." Another way of saying it is: "flower" means red. Zhou people like red and think it is a symbol of good luck, so they call themselves flowers. Perhaps, the ancients advocated fire, and fire had a red brilliance, so it was called Hua. There is also a saying that China came from China, which was called Huaxia Province in ancient times. As the abbreviation of China, Hua has a long history.
Zhu Hua: Because people in the Zhou Dynasty called themselves China, many vassal states in the Central Plains that were enfeoffed by the Zhou Dynasty were called Zhu Hua. Du Yu in the Jin Dynasty commented on Zuo Zhuan in the Spring and Autumn Period: "Zhu Hua, China also."
China: Before the Qin Dynasty, Chinese people called their motherland China. After the Qin Dynasty, it gradually developed into a multi-ethnic country, so it was called the "Chinese nation". "Zhong" means China, and "Hua" is the abbreviation of the Chinese nation. In the Tang Dynasty, Han's poem: "China's land goes to the border town, and foreign clouds come from the island" has used "China" and "foreign" interchangeably. Zhu Xia: This term is similar to "Zhu Hua". At first it refers to the vassal state of the Chinese nation, and later it is used to address China.

Yucheng Yuji Yudian: According to legend, ancient floods were terrible, and Dayu managed water to benefit the world. It is said that after Yu's flood control, Kyushu was demarcated according to the conditions of mountains and rivers, so later generations called China Yucheng, Yuji (Yu's flood control footprint spread all over the country) and Yudian ("Dian" here means governance).
Kyushu: It originated from the legend that Dayu ruled Kyushu by controlling water. Kyushu, according to legend, after the flood control, China was divided into Kyushu: Ji, Yan, Qing, Jing, Yang, Liang, Yong, Xu and Yu.
The Records of Huainanzi also recorded that there were Kyushu in ancient China: Shenzhou, Zizhou, Rongzhou, Yanzhou, Jizhou, Taizhou, Jeju, Bozhou and Yangzhou.
