On the hill at the intersection of Dongjiang River and Xinfeng River in the southeast of Yuancheng, there stands a pagoda with seven floors and six corners and a height of more than 30 meters-Guifeng Tower. Unfortunately, it was not capped before it was fixed.

Guifeng Pagoda, also known as Fairy Pagoda among the people. According to legend, fairy parties from all walks of life passed by Heyuan. Just when Dongjiang and Xinfeng Rivers flooded, the two rivers turned over like giant pythons. Fierce waves swept across the people on both sides of the strait, calling for their father and son. It was terrible! Seeing this tragic situation, the passing gods are determined to help people get rid of bad luck. After consulting each other, they decided to catch a turtle and put it at the intersection of two rivers. This turtle is the mountain called Guifeng Mountain. Decided to build a pagoda on the turtle's back before dawn to guard the water mouth and prevent floods and evil spirits. Once agreed, the immortals will take advantage of the night to catch turtles, stones and bricks.

Li Douye knows about the fairy building the tower. Legend has it that Li Douye was changed by monsters. He thinks that the fairy built this tower, which will hinder the geomantic omen of the Li family. He is afraid that Heyuan will produce people beyond his official position. He racked his brains and came up with a deadly trap. He flashed to the pagoda at the foot of Guifeng Mountain and saw that the immortals had built the pagoda to the seventh floor and were busy crowing. His cock crowed and woke up the chickens around him. He thought it was dawn, so you called him. The immortals heard the cock crow. They didn't want the world to know about the tower, so they had to stop and go back to the sky. So the tower was only built to the seventh floor, with no roof. This is why people say that Heyuan Tower has no roof. It is said that after the river was built in the city, the Guifeng Pagoda received the attention of the relevant departments, funded the construction, improved the top of the tower, and presented its new look to the public.
