Why are so many directors more inclined to shoot "Ghost Blowing Lights" than "Tomb Notes"?

Personally, I prefer watching ghosts blow lights. I have paid attention to the electronic version of the novel and the movie "Ghost Blowing Lights". I haven't finished reading the notes of grave robbery carefully. It should be the story of grave robbery, just like the story of ghost blowing lights. But I feel that Ghost Blowing Lights is more story-telling, more compact and attractive.
