Yunnan Travel Guide Eight Days and Seven Nights in Kunming, Dali, Lijiang, and Shangri-La

Yunnan travel guide for eight days and seven nights in Kunming, Dali, Lijiang, and Shangri-La is as follows:

The annual temperature difference is small, but the daily temperature difference is large

Because it is located on a low-latitude plateau , the air is dry and relatively thin. The amount of solar heat received in various places not only increases or decreases with the change of the sun's altitude angle, but is also affected by clouds and rain. In summer, the average temperature on the hottest day is around 19-22℃; in winter, the average temperature on the coldest month is above 6-8℃. The annual temperature difference is generally 10 to 15°C, but the temperature is lower on rainy days. The temperature changes throughout the day are cool in the morning and hot in the afternoon. Especially in winter and spring, the daily temperature difference can reach 12-20℃.

The first thing you need to prepare when traveling to Yunnan can be purchased online or at a store near your home. Just find what you like and is suitable.

1. Sun protection hat: Ultraviolet rays are very strong, and the sunshine hours are also very strong. There is still sunshine at 8 o'clock in the evening. If you don't prepare a hat, you will get sunburned.

2. Sunglasses: Ultraviolet rays are extremely strong, and the sunshine hours are also very strong. If there is still sun at 8 o'clock in the evening, your eyes will not be able to open.

3. Sunscreen spray and sunscreen.

4. Umbrella: The weather in Yunnan is changeable, and the weather forecast cannot be completely trusted!

5. Clothing: (Traveling in June/July/August) The temperature in Kunming, Dali, and Chuxiong will not be lower than 15℃. If you only go to these places, you only need one piece of autumn clothing. Just wear a thin jacket, it will be a bit cool at night~; but if you go to high-altitude places such as Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Shangri-La Diqing, the temperature difference between morning and evening is very large, and the lowest temperature may reach 6℃.

Then you need a winter jacket and trousers to keep warm. It is not cold at noon because there is sunshine and the ultraviolet rays are very strong. You don’t have to worry about this when you go to play at noon. You can take off the coat; Dress warmly in the morning and evening, and bring a down jacket in autumn and winter!

6. Drugs: Yinqiao Jiedu Granules - granules or oral liquids that clear away heat, detoxify and reduce fire; Changwei Zhengchang Pills/Bao Chai Pills/Qingxin Pills - medicines that regulate the gastrointestinal tract; I often eat hot pot when I go to Yunnan (local chicken pot, wild mushroom hot pot), and because of the climate and temperature, some people may not be able to adapt to it, so it is best to prepare some pills of this type. However, if you have a bruise, this is Yunnan, which specializes in Yunnan Baiyao. You can buy it locally at a national uniform price of 19.6 yuan/bottle.

7. Snacks: milk drinks, unlimited chicken drumsticks, bread, Wangwang snow cakes, etc. can be prepared, because if you go to some scenic spots (Pudacuo Park, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain), you may be hungry because there are few people there. It’s expensive to buy something to eat, and there’s nothing delicious. It’s best to prepare some food that you like and that is easy to carry.

8. Towels, toothbrushes and other personal items: Some hotels or inns in Yunnan are not very hygienic, so it is best to bring them yourself.

9. Camera: A simple entry-level camera, because the scenery in Yunnan is really natural.

Be prepared for some things that need to be purchased online. The next step is to check the travel routes

The geographical location of Yunnan is relatively complicated (see the picture directly). Figure 1 shows the distance between several cities. Distance; Figure 2 is a map containing scenic spots; as can be seen from the picture, the distance between Kunming, Dali, Lijiang, and Shangri-La (Diqing) in Yunnan is actually quite far, and the distance between two adjacent cities is 150~200 Kilometers, up to 400 to 500 kilometers, so it is best to plan your travel route well.

After finding two cities, it will be comfortable to explore in depth. Here’s my personal recommendation: Lijiang & Shangri-La (1 week). Of course, if you want to do both, it’s best to go a little longer, at least half a month.

Xishuangbanna and Lijiang are in opposite directions. The distance between them is almost 400 kilometers, so the route we chose is: Kunming-Dali-Lijiang-Shangri-La. We will wait for the next time we go to Xishuangbanna, because The distances between scenic spots in Yunnan are quite far, so you will spend a lot of time on the road. If you only visit for 1 week, the best thing is to only visit 2 places. If you want to go to all 4 places, and I only played for one week, and it was just a quick glance.

In fact, don’t take this kind of thing too seriously. The local government in Yunnan has regulations. Only local people can lead tours in Dali, only local people can lead tours in Lijiang, and only local people can lead tours in Shangri-La. Because there are many ethnic minorities in Yunnan (25 ethnic minorities), some ethnic minorities still had hatred in the past, so the local government has unified regulations that the tour must be led by a local tour guide and all must have real names.

After signing up for the group and paying the deposit, the next step is to book high-speed rail/air tickets. It is best to book the air tickets a week in advance. I went by high-speed rail because Yangjiang-Guangzhou-Kunming , the total time taken by airplane and high-speed rail is basically the same. The price of high-speed rail is 300 yuan/person cheaper than that of airplane. However, by high-speed rail, you only need to transfer once and then ride to the station. It is the best choice! Yangjiang-Kunming, total price ¥556 yuan/person.

In fact, if you travel by yourself, you can book a better hotel by yourself. Hotel prices in Kunming, Yunnan are not too expensive (mainly based on the route, you can choose it on Ctrip or Dianping. Prioritize the location) , for example, it is relatively close to Nanping Pedestrian Street or the high-speed rail airport. Generally, hotels near the high-speed rail airport have airport pick-up and drop-off no matter how late it is. However, this hotel is a bit remote, and there is not much fun and shopping around. The only thing is the price comparison. Cheap 104 yuan/room, you can find it on Dianping!

Travel agency itinerary: Day 1

Note: Kunming afternoon tea time - this is the first time the tour guide will take you shopping One stop is to buy tea, which is very expensive. Some jasmine tea sells for as low as 180 yuan per small bag, and some Pu'er, etc., which takes 2-2 or 5 hours); and there is no voluntary choice in the battery car, you just take it. The electric car can keep up with the tour guide. If you don't want to sit, just play by yourself. Don't join a group. That's it!

Xiao Tan’s actual shooting scene: There are basically no places to take pictures, just follow the tour guide for a walk!

This is the itinerary: it’s time to enjoy afternoon tea (about 2-2, 5 hours wasted).

Tea reference, it is not recommended to buy it at the place designated by the tour guide.

Chuxiong’s special meal: wild mushroom hot pot (35 yuan per person, not much meat, all mushrooms and vegetables, 10 people/table, not enough food), but this is the most eaten by the tour group that day. It was a good meal, because the group meal for lunch cost 10 yuan per person.

Comments: It is not recommended to visit Stone Forest. If you really want to go, you can arrange a day to visit here on your own. Otherwise, you will just go in and see a few stones and say goodbye! I couldn’t take photos because there would be a lot of people; then I was taken shopping again in the afternoon.

So the tour group’s time was wasted in this way, and they got up very early in the morning and gathered at 7 o’clock, which means they had to get up at 6 o’clock to brush their teeth, wash their faces, pack their bags and have breakfast; because they were not in the same store that night. Accommodation, so pack your luggage and put it under the tour bus. Not counting the day of taking the bus, the first day is considered a waste. It is better to go to Kunming Market by yourself (Nanping Pedestrian Street/Dounan Flower Market/Dianchi Lake).

On the first day of travel, the hotel we stayed at was Ruijia Hotel (Chuxiong City).

Recommendation: If you are a self-guided tourist, after visiting Kunming on the first day, check in directly in Kunming that night, and then take the train to Dali the next day, which is about 2 hours' drive and costs ¥145 yuan. /ticket.

1. You don’t need to waste time in Chuxiong because there are no interesting and interesting attractions.

2. When traveling by yourself, you can also choose the food you like to eat. You can find nearby restaurants through Dianping.com, and they all have good recommendations. The group meal at noon at the travel agency is relatively simple. The actual price per person is 10 yuan, and the taste is not good. It's so good, I can't get enough.

3. There are many places to eat in Kunming Pedestrian Street: Japanese food, McDonald's, KFC, hot pot, Jiahua Flower Cake, etc. You can eat everything you can think of. Playing like this for a day, walking and stopping, is the most pleasant way to play, haha!

Travel agency arrangement: Day 2 of the tour

Note: There are no shopping attractions on this day. We directly arrange to go to Dali Ancient Town, condensing the original two-day itinerary into one day of play, 7 o'clock When we gathered to set off, we had to get up at 6 o'clock, so we moved forward the next day's itinerary, and the one who planned to go to Dali Ancient Town the next day went shopping in the morning.

Dali Ancient Town

Comments: Dali Ancient Town is also very commercialized. When you get there, a Jinhua tour guide will basically take you to explain, and then everyone takes a battery car to Dali Ancient Town. Wear headphones to explain, and then go around to see the flowers. There is basically no time to play by yourself. I just follow the group. It feels like there is really nothing interesting. The local Jinhua will introduce you to try the breast fan, but it is not recommended. Eat it, it doesn’t taste good. Then after walking around for a long time, I got on the electric car and returned to the place where I got on the car before. So, do you really want a quick tour?

Xiao Tan’s real shot: cruise ship scenery

Comments: After lunch, we went to the cruise ship Fiberglass Yacht + Red Wine Party: 30 people on the cruise ship drank one bottle (red wine/Coke/ Sprite), and then go to the Luo Tsuen Peninsula. According to the explanations from the people there, most of the people are climbing on the island by themselves.

Then 4 people take a jeep (about 20 minutes) to a photography base to take photos freely. However, the scenery in the free base is not very beautiful. A photo (group photo) will be given to you. It will take you about half an hour to take a souvenir, and then we will take you to Erhai Lake on the way back. The scenery there is beautiful, and some photos of so-called Internet celebrities were taken there, but there is a fee.

Then after dinner, we checked into the hotel: Dali-Sihai Hotel.

Recommendation: If you take a 2-hour train ride from Kunming to the ancient city of Dali, you can explore by yourself for about 2 hours in the morning. The electric car in Dali is ¥35 yuan/person. In fact, it is not recommended to ride here. If necessary, it would be better to go shopping by yourself. Although it is more commercialized, you can still go shopping now that you are here.

Then in the afternoon I will go to Luoquan Peninsula to play and take a cruise. You can buy it on Dianping or Ctrip for ¥140 yuan/person (this includes the round trip fee and the ticket fee for Luoquan Peninsula) , and the inns nearby are really nice, and the prices range from about 130 to 300 per night, and they are better than those arranged by travel agencies.

If you want to go to Dali, there are still many even in peak season. The inn has rooms, don't worry. You can go around here by yourself at night. You can also rent electric cars nearby. I just drove to the Erhai Lake to take pictures. The scenery is really good.

The travel agency itinerary! Arrangement: Day 3 of the tour

Shopping attractions in Lijiang Ancient Town: jade (ranging from 160 to 1,000,000 yuan), snowflake silverware (ranging from 19.9 yuan to 39.9 yuan/g; 980 yuan to 200,000 yuan) etc.).

The shopping attractions include: jade, snowflake silver cups, various silver jewelry, etc. ***Two shopping attractions, but the things in the shopping attractions are very expensive, such as jade, I don’t understand. Just don't buy it, because the jade ones they sell are on sale for 160 yuan, and they are all non-negotiable. But when we looked at them in a large department store in Nanping Pedestrian Street, they were all the same.

< p> Moreover, others can get a 20% discount on items priced at 160 yuan, and they all issue invoices. Things in shopping attractions are shoddy. Many silverware and jade are actually not worth that price. Only their people know this. Yes, you can search on Baidu, and many people have been fooled; the cheapest snowflake silver cup is 980 yuan/50g.

Suggestion: If you are traveling independently, you don’t need to go too early in the morning. Get up, it’s almost 8:00 to 8:30. Then on this day, if you don’t have enough fun in Dali, you can spend another half day and set off for Lijiang in the evening (around 18:00). The train lasts about 2 hours. , ¥34, enjoy a slow-paced tour

Comments: After lunch, take the tour bus to Lijiang. At this time, you will change to a tour guide, but every tour guide has shopping spots, you can rest assured. There will be no shortage of one; in the afternoon, I visited the Lashihai Wetland Park to see the migratory birds in the woods (there is nothing interesting about this wetland park). It took 30 minutes, and then started horse riding. Self-financed items: It is said to be 260 yuan/person, and the travel agency offers a discount of 200 Yuan/person, just horse riding, but Dianping only costs 160 yuan, so don’t take what the tour guide says sometimes too seriously.

However, it is recommended to experience this horse riding once: riding a horse, The horseman will take you around, including their village. If you want to know more about this place, you can talk to the horseman. He is a local villager of the Yulong Naxi ethnic group. This can really increase the income of local residents, and then ride a horse to others. In the village, looking at other people's yards, there are totems in every yard. On the way, some ethnic minorities gather together to sing folk songs and chat. They will also say hello to you. Recommendation index: 5 stars.

Travel dinner: Local chicken pot (about 20 yuan per person, serving 6 people, 10 people can eat, 10 people/table is not enough).

Comments: The taste of the dinner is still good, and the tour guide will still be very enthusiastic to add a bottle of drinks to us and arrange it well; friends who come to Lijiang can try this local chicken pot, which is their local specialty It’s not too expensive. You can eat it anywhere. It’s not hard to find. After dinner, we went back to the hotel to put away our luggage and then went to watch the show.

Lijiang Lishui Jinsha Performing Arts Co., Ltd. was established in March 2002. It mainly operates Lijiang's large-scale ethnic costumes, ethnic customs dance, poetry and painting interpretation performance program "Lishui Jinsha". It is the first large-scale theatrical performance to fully reflect the national culture of Lijiang, and it is also the first large-scale theatrical performance in Lijiang to fully reflect the national customs of Yunnan.

Made full use of modern art methods, through beautiful dance, exciting music, colorful costumes, three-dimensional and magnificent scenes, and superb lighting effects, it creates a strong artistic impact and is known as China's Broadway.

Comment: This performance is really worth watching, it is very shocking, because although there are many ethnic minorities in Yunnan now, many of them have been "sinicized". This performance allows you to combine all ethnic groups The costumes and customs are performed through songs and dances, which is a feast for the eyes and ears!

After watching this dance, it is very close to Lijiang Ancient Town, but a reminder: Lijiang Ancient Town is the most commercialized ancient town I have ever visited.

The hotel you stayed in that night: YOY Xiangfeng Hotel, about 2 kilometers away from Lijiang Ancient Town (it is not recommended to stay in this hotel, because there are many inns in the ancient town, so you don’t need to stay so far away.

p>

Recommendation: Go in the evening during the peak season, and there are always people. If you want to take beautiful photos, it is best to go early in the morning. If you are a self-guided tourist, it is quieter in the morning and there are fewer people in Lijiang Ancient Town. It will take about one day to visit.

Travel agency itinerary: Day 4

Note: Departing at 7 am again, this is Shuhe Ancient Town (about 120 minutes). Shopping attractions: Jade, Huanglong Jade. It is not recommended to visit the ancient town. Stay at this shopping spot until 9 o'clock and then buy medicinal materials. The price is about 10 times higher than outside.

It is recommended that you can buy a bottle when visiting Lijiang Ancient Town, which only costs 20 yuan/bottle; the places designated by the tour guide to buy oxygen bottles range from 60 yuan to 100 yuan/bottle. If you are really afraid, then prepare 2 bottles. Of course, it can be used anywhere. It cannot be used in Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, but it cannot be used in Shangri-La.

In Lijiang, the Lijiang tour guide told you that if you don’t use up this thing, you can keep it and use it when you go to Shangri-La; but the funny thing is, the Shangri-La tour guide will tell you on the second day that this Shangri-La oxygen bottle is It is made according to the air pressure and oxygen content of Shangri-La. The oxygen bottles you buy from the following stores cannot be fooled by other words!

The hotel we stayed in that night was the same as last night: YOY Xiangfeng Hotel, which is about 2 kilometers away from Lijiang Ancient Town (it is not recommended to stay in this hotel, because there are many inns in the ancient town, so you don’t need to stay so far)

Suggestion: If you don’t go to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Glacier Cableway, it’s really not fun, so why not come? The cost of the Glacier Cableway is not expensive, the ticket + cableway is 240 yuan per person (including the entrance fee) ¥100 per person). Tickets for Yunshanping Cableway + Cableway are 160 yuan per person (including admission fee ¥100 per person)

Travel agency schedule: Day 5

Comments. : After breakfast (departing at 7 o'clock), take the bus to Shangri-La, and visit the Tiger Leaping Gorge on the way. It's still the same recipe. Concentrate the previous day's itinerary into one day of fun, and leave the next day's itinerary to you for shopping .

Comments: Tiger Leaping Gorge is famous for its "danger" and is one of the deepest canyons in China. The Tiger Leaping Gorge is divided into the Shangri-La section and the Lijiang section, and the Shangri-La Tiger Leaping Gorge is a national AAAA level. The tourist attractions include the Upper, Middle and Lower Tiger Leaping Gorge, and the high-road hiking route.

Lijiang has two direct buses (8:00 and 8:30) to Tiger Leaping Gorge Town. The fare is 20-23 yuan. You can also take the shuttle bus to Shangri-La County and get off at Hutiaoxia Town. There are multiple shuttle buses to Lijiang from Shangri-La County every day, and the fare is about 20 yuan. .

Car rental/charter: You can also carpool or charter a car from Lijiang to Tiger Leaping Gorge. The price of carpooling is about 35-50 yuan per person, and the price of chartered car is between 150-300 yuan depending on the car type.

p>

Suggestion: You can go there and experience it. The scene is quite spectacular, and the sound of the water alone makes you feel very comfortable. Haha! The ticket for Tiger Leaping Gorge is 45 yuan per person.

On the way to Shangri-La, we will stop to rest. The scenery along the way is really beautiful!
