Why are tires more prone to puncture in summer?
There are many reasons for tire puncture in summer, such as tire aging, excessive wear, overspeed and overload, too high or too low air pressure and so on. As we all know, tires are made of rubber and skeleton materials. Rubber has a long service life and poor thermal conductivity. The friction between the tire and the ground, especially on the high-temperature road surface, will cause rubber aging and tire wear to a great extent. The strength of the steel wire layer gradually decreases, and the strength of the tire decreases. Once damaged or not driven according to the regulations, such as overloading, puncture is inevitable.
So what should we do to prevent a flat tire?
First, the tires should rest in time. When driving on expressway in summer, try to stop at the service area every two to three hours to "rest" the tires. It must be noted here that in order to naturally cool the tires, cold water should not be used to cool the tires. Thermal expansion and cold contraction will deform the tire structure and make it easier to burst.
Second, avoid sudden acceleration and sudden braking. When the temperature reaches 35℃ to 37℃ and the vehicle speed reaches 100 km, sudden acceleration and sudden braking should be avoided as far as possible, because in this case, tire wear and instantaneous pressure increase are very prone to tire puncture accidents.
Third, check the tires regularly and do a good job in tire maintenance. We should also check the tires from time to time in the process of using the car, check whether there is any tire injury, bulging and other phenomena, and remove the stone foreign bodies in the tread groove, and pay attention to the fact that the tire pressure should not be too high or too low.
Fourth, the injured tires should be cautious, especially when driving at high speed, and the injured tires should be replaced in time. Generally, the repaired tire inner tube is padded with rubber gasket, but this kind of gasket protruding from the inner surface of the outer tire has a wear effect on the inner tube repair under load. If it is often overloaded or bumped on the road, it is easy to make the tire burst.
