It is recommended to go to the mangrove forest + 2 days around the beach + Sunday market + Tengku Latou Island (Shapi + Manukan). The mangrove picks up people starting at 1:30 noon. It is recommended to play in a rubber boat after snorkeling. When paddling out, you will feel that the entire South China Sea is yours. The Sunday market starts at 6 or 7 o'clock and ends at noon, so you have to get there early. If you miss it, there is a handicraft market just a short walk to the left in Gaya Center facing the sea. There is also a handmade chocolate market in the city that I couldn't find. You can ask the hotel front desk about it. VINCCI slippers and sandals are very good and not expensive in the saria shopping mall opposite Gaya Center. They are Malaysia's national sandals. They are on the first floor. You can also check it out at the BODY SHOP, after all, there is no counter for it in China, and it is also on the first floor. Since the five islands of Tengku La are very close, you can just go to the pier to buy a ticket. The pier is next to Saria, facing the sea and walking right along the seaside in the center of Gaya. Don’t look down on these offshore national parks. I stayed in Kota Kinabalu for eight days. There were more snorkeling and fish sightings here than Huantan. Of course, the island environment is far worse than Huantan. In Sabi, you can see clownfish that are bigger than the soles of your feet. Snorkeling along the buoy on the left will give you a big surprise. There are nests of Nemo, colorful angel fish, and hundreds of fish as big as a pinky finger. , the colorful corals can only be seen by floating far away. Don’t worry, there are buoys to mark the safe area, but be careful of jellyfish. It hurts a bit when stung, but I personally think the shock is greater than the pain. The duty-free shop at Kota Kinabalu Airport has Ferrero, so just take it if you want to buy it. I missed it and thought it was also available in LCCT, but I was disappointed. If it rains, just go shopping. It’s also good to eat, drink, listen to the rain and surf the internet at White Coffee in Old Street. Xin Kee Bak Kut Teh is worth a try.
