What is a city gate?
The city gate in Xuankong Feng Shui refers to the water mouth, and the two palaces facing forward and left are city gates. If the New Year's Day chart stars in the palace or the right palace can form one or six of the same sect, two or seven of the same clan, three or eight as friends, and four or nine as friends, it will be the main city gate, and the other palace will be the deputy city gate.
From the New Year's Day chart in the above table, we know:
In the Li hexagram direction, Xun Palace is the main gate, the four and nine are friends, and the Kun Palace is the auxiliary gate.
In the direction of Li Kun, Duigong is the main city gate, forming the second and seventh gates; Li Palace is the auxiliary city gate.
According to the hexagram direction of Dui, the Kun Palace is the main gate, which combines the two and seven together; the Qian Palace is the auxiliary gate.
Set up the Qian hexagram, take Kan Palace as the main city gate, and combine the first and sixth sects; Dui Palace as the auxiliary city gate.
According to the Kan hexagram, Qiangong is the main city gate, which combines the first and sixth sects; Gengong is the auxiliary city gate.
According to the direction of Gen hexagram, Zhen Palace is the main city gate, three and eight are combined into two groups; Kan Palace is the auxiliary city gate.
