Why is it colder this winter than usual?
The first is the emergence of extreme weather and climate.
Presumably, many people have heard of El Nino when they are studying physics in junior high school. Under normal circumstances, the occurrence of El Niñ o phenomenon will lead to high local climate, and all La Niñ a phenomena corresponding to El Niñ o phenomenon will lead to high-pressure cold air in the local area when La Niñ a appears. In this case, there will be more extreme weather. In fact, our weather this year is relatively normal. Although it is a little colder than in previous years, compared with some places in Russia, our atmosphere is indeed more suitable for people to live in.
Second, the reduction of snowfall.
In fact, you can find that although we have been in winter for a long time now, there is actually no large-scale snowfall. Many people think that the weather will be colder when it snows, but in fact, because these water molecules will release a lot of heat when they condense into snowflakes, the surrounding temperature will rise, so the air will be colder this year. Once a large-scale snowfall occurs, the real low temperature will strike. So if there is snowfall in the north, the weather will really enter the cold season this year.
Third, the arrival of the cold wave.
In fact, the reason why people think it is cold this winter is mainly because it came earlier this winter. Compared with previous years, this year's winter solstice came much earlier, about one month earlier, which led us to basically experience the coldest time in winter during the New Year, when the temperature would rise. So at the same time, we will feel colder this year, mainly because the cold wave came earlier than in previous years.
