From thousands of acres of cherry blossoms to hundreds of miles of azaleas: Guizhou's flower viewing route in March, you should keep it in your collection
The sea of flowers is a major attraction of Guizhou tourism. The sea of flowers in Guizhou Province can be found in all seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter, and the scale is very large. It is among the best in the country and even in the world. March to April is the peak season for flower tourism in Guizhou Province. From the thousands of acres of cherry blossoms blooming in Hongfeng Lake in mid-March to the alpine azaleas in Wumeng Prairie in April, the entire Guizhou is immersed in the sea of flowers.
Many tourists ask me how to take the flower viewing route in spring? In addition to Pingba cherry blossoms and Baili azaleas, what other flowers are worth visiting? In addition to seeing flowers, are there any other scenic spots worth visiting near the sea of flowers? In response to these problems, I will write a special article to create a flower viewing route from March to April.
This route mainly involves the northwest road of Guizhou, that is, Anshun, Bijie and Liupanshui. The main flower seas are cherry blossoms and azaleas, including Hongfeng Lake cherry blossoms, Baili Rhododendron, and Hezhang Millennium Rhododendron Forest. , Wumeng Prairie and the four seas of flowers. Of course, there are also peach blossoms, pear blossoms, cauliflowers, etc. on the way, but these are not the focus.
The route starts from Guiyang, and after passing the Hongfeng Lake Bridge, it soon enters a sea of thousands of acres of cherry blossoms. There are two places for cherry blossoms in Hongfeng Lake, one is located at Qingzhen Pineapple Farm and Hepingba Farm. Qingzhen Pineapple Farm is located in Youer Village, Hongfenghu Town. There are 3,000 acres of cherry blossoms here. The Shanghai-Kunming Expressway passes through the sea of cherry blossoms. This section of the highway was rated as "the most beautiful highway in China" by netizens. In addition to cherry blossoms, there are also magnolias, camellias, peach blossoms and other landscapes here.
Pingba Farm has more than 6,000 acres of cherry blossoms, which is the largest and most beautiful sea of cherry blossoms in China. There are two varieties of cherry blossoms here: early cherry blossoms and late cherry blossoms. The flowering period of early and late cherry blossoms can last for a month. This year, the Cherry Garden area adopts the method of "real-name reservation + scan QR code to enter the park" and is open to tourists free of charge. The reservation method is: log in to the mini program "One Code Tour Guizhou" - select "Entry Time" - upload personal information - complete the reservation.
There are many forts scattered around Pingba, which you can visit after visiting the cherry blossom sea. Tunbao originated from the incident of Zhu Yuanzhang's transfer to the north and the expedition to the south in the early Ming Dynasty. In the early Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang sent 30 troops to conquer Yunnan in the south. In the end, 200,000 troops were stationed in Guizhou's fields, forming a situation where guards were scattered among the prefectures and counties, and thousands of camps were spread out in the wilderness.
Now in the West There are still many tunnels preserved in Xiu District and Hepingba District, such as Tianlong Tunpu, Yunfeng Tunpu, Baojia Tun, etc. Most of the Tunpu people come from the Jiangnan area and are deeply influenced by Wuyue culture and Confucian culture. The human culture has distinct Jiangnan characteristics. Now the costumes and local operas of Tunpu people have the style of Jiangnan culture.
Zhijin County is located on the flower viewing route in northwest Guizhou, and the karst landscape here is very special. It is rich in scenery and is known as the "Karst Museum". It has Zhijin Cave, Zhijin Grand Canyon, Zhijin Pass, Aohe Canyon, Zhijin Waterfall and other landscapes. During the flower viewing season, it is also very good to visit Zhijin's scenery.
Zhijin Cave is the most famous geological landscape in Zhijin County. It is located in Guanzhai Miao Township, Zhijin County, on the south bank of Liuchong River, one of the sources of Wujiang River. The total length of the cave is about 12 kilometers. Among them, 6 kilometers were developed. In 1980, the Zhijin County Tourism Resources Survey Team discovered this cave and it was developed thereafter. Before the development of Shuanghe Cave in Suiyang, Zunyi, Zhijin Cave had always been the most tourist-worthy cave in Guizhou in 2015. , Zhijin Cave has become the first world geopark in Guizhou
The Zhijin Grand Canyon is 3 kilometers long, also known as the "One Line and Three Grooves" scenic spot, 2 kilometers away from the Zhijin Cave Scenic Area; there are protection areas within the scenic area. Intact canyons, skylights, sinkholes, Tiansheng Bridge, underground rivers, cliffs and other geological relics; its landscape of "water on water, holes on holes, bridges on bridges, and the sky outside the sky" is called "a world-class karst landscape" by geologists. It has extremely high value for science education and tourism. The 104-meter-high sightseeing elevator is the highlight of Zhijin Grand Canyon tourism and is currently the highest vertical elevator in southwest China.
The two main sources of Wujiang River. After the Sancha River and the Liuchong River merged in Zhijin County, Qianxi County and Qingzhen City, due to the construction of the Dongfeng Reservoir, the Liuchong River and the Sancha River formed a magnificent landscape of "a high gorge emerging from a flat lake", which is known as It is called "Wujiangyuan Gallery". The landscape of Wujiangyuan Gallery extends from Qianxi County and Qingzhen City to the north and south of Zhijin County. There is Dongfeng Lake Hongyan Pier on the Liuchong River in the north, only 7 meters away from Zhijin Cave. Kilometers, there is a car from Zhijin Cave to the pier.
Dafang County is the place with the richest tourism resources in Bijie City. In addition to historical monuments and cultural customs, the natural scenery of Dafang County is even more charming. In the past, due to inconvenient transportation, the tourism resources of Dafang County were not developed. Nowadays, with the opening of the Chengdu-Guizhou high-speed railway, Dafang County has become an important summer tourist destination in Guizhou. The important tourist attractions in Dafang County include Baili Dujuan Pudi Scenic Area, Youshan River Grand Canyon and Jiudongtian.
Baili Rhododendron is the largest natural flower sea in the world, stretching about 50 kilometers from Dafang County to Qianxi County. There was a conflict between Qianxi County and Dafang County over the competition for the tourism resources of Baili Rhododendron. Later, the Baili Rhododendron Management Committee was established to achieve unified management. Baili Rhododendron is now a national forest park, a national 5A scenic spot, and one of Guizhou's top scenic spots.
Youshan River Grand Canyon is also a newly developed scenic spot. This is a world of peaks, forests and swords, it is simply the second Zhangjiajie. In 2015, Youshan River became a national forest park and began to enter the tourism development stage. Youshan River Grand Canyon mainly consists of Yuchong River, thousand-year-old ginkgo forest, Xiangshui River, Liangcha River, Xianyutun, Grand Canyon, Nantianmen, Beihangou and other scenic spots.
Nine-dongtian appeared above the Liuchong River at the northern source of Wujiang River. When the Liuchong River passed through the boundary between Nayong and Dafang, the famous "Nine-dongtian" phenomenon appeared. Jiudongtian is a 6-kilometer-long river section, forming karst wonders such as underground rivers, water caves, canyons, overpasses, skylights, and patios. In 1987, international karst expert Williams called it the "Encyclopedia of Chinese Karst" after inspecting Jiudongtian.
Wumeng Mountain is located at the junction of Guizhou and Yunnan. The highest peak in Guizhou is Jiucaiping. There are 300,000 acres of flowers here, but unfortunately the flower season is in August and September. However, in spring, the alpine rhododendrons on Wumeng Mountain will also bloom, making up for people's regrets. The main azalea seas include Hezhang Millennium Rhododendron Forest, Wumeng Prairie, Weining Baicaoping, Panzhou Huopu Rhododendron Forest, etc.
At the junction of Songlinpo Township and Xingfa Township in Hezhang County, there is a thousand-year-old rhododendron forest covering an area of about 100 square kilometers, with a core area of about 50 square kilometers. Preliminary survey found tens of thousands of rhododendron trees that are more than a thousand years old. The largest one is several centimeters larger in diameter than the Baili King Rhododendron. This rhododendron forest grows on a plateau between 1,800 and 2,500 meters above sea level. When the rhododendrons fall, layers of petals will be spread on the ground, which is called "Yelang's Red Carpet."
Wumeng Prairie is the most famous scenic spot in Panzhou. Wumeng Prairie, formerly known as "Po Shang", is located in Wumeng Town in the north of Panzhou City. Here is Niupeng Liangzi, the highest peak in Liupanshui, with an altitude of 2857 meters. It is also one of the five highest peaks in Guizhou. There is also Changhaizi, the highest lake in Guizhou, on the Wumeng Prairie, which is like a dream. At the turn of April and May, tens of thousands of acres of alpine dwarf rhododendrons bloom on the Wumeng Grassland, stretching endlessly, like a huge colorful carpet spread on the ground.
Near the Wumeng Prairie is the famous Beipanjiang Grand Canyon in Guizhou. The area where Beipanjiang River flows through is a karst landform area with high mountains and deep valleys, with a relative height difference of nearly 2,000 meters. Therefore, the majestic Beipanjiang Grand Canyon was formed in the Beipanjiang River Valley, which was rated as one of the most beautiful karst canyons in China by "China National Geographic", second only to the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River. The Beipanjiang Grand Canyon is also a bridge museum. Among the world-class bridges in Guizhou, 8 of them are located on the Beipanjiang River. The Liupanshui, Anshun and southwest Guizhou areas where the Beipanjiang River flows have formed scenic spots such as Yezhong Grand Canyon, Panying Grand Canyon, Duge Grand Canyon, Zangdao River, and Huajiang Grand Canyon.
