How to select, transport and care for piglets
Look at the mental state. Healthy pigs are lively and active, with bright eyes and clear calls. The fur is smooth and shiny, and the tail keeps swinging. A quick response to sound.
2.
Look at the variety characteristics and overall development. Piglets with binary cross, ternary cross or multiple cross have some characteristics of hybrid varieties, which makes the selection criteria consistent and prevents unhealthy and eliminated purebred piglets from mixing.
3.
Depends on physical condition. Healthy piglets are in good health, normal development, bright coat color and moist nose. Don't choose two: don't choose pigs with poor physique and thinness; The weight is obviously less than that of the large group.
4.
Look at the abdominal circumference. Healthy piglets, full belly but not bloated. Sick pigs are often hung up or full, so don't choose.
5.
Look at the limbs. When a healthy pig walks, its limbs cooperate well. Lame and deformed piglets are not selected; Don't choose the piglets outside the eight legs; Inconsistent leg thickness, swollen joints and poor hoof system are not selected.
6.
Look at the feces. Healthy piglets have normal fecal color and characteristics. If the feces are thin or dry, and the color is abnormal, it is considered that the health is not good, and it is not selected.
7.
Look at the uniformity of development. Try to make a batch of purchased piglets similar in age and weight, and develop evenly and neatly. Don't choose piglets that are too big or too small. Ensure that the purchased piglets are of the same size, healthy and high quality.
