Where does it snow in China?
First of all, the coldest meteorological temperature in winter in China is undoubtedly the northeast, followed by the northwest and Qinghai-Tibet, then the north China and finally the south.
However, the average winter temperature in China is obviously lower than that in other latitudes of the earth, and the southern part of China is also the region with the lowest winter snow line in the northern hemisphere.
The snow line in winter is usually drawn along northwest Yunnan, north-central Sichuan, north Guizhou, north-central Hunan, north-central Jiangxi, Wuyishan in Fujian and north-central Zhejiang.
The winter temperature in the Yangtze River basin at the same latitude is often around 0 degrees, while in Africa at the same latitude it is the Sahara desert.
The provinces in the Yangtze River valley in the south of China are very wet and cold in winter, and I feel that there is no place that is not wet and cold. I remember that many students in Northeast China were too cold to stand in college.
Many friends who have never seen snow must think that it will snow in the north and not in the south. In fact, it snows in many southern provinces, such as Guiyang, Changsha, Nanchang and other capital cities, and it snows more or less every winter.
Even in Shaoguan, Guangdong, there is sleet in the mountains every winter, and there is heavy snow in the snowstorm in 2008.
