What was the final outcome of Yu Zhanao?

Yu Zhanao didn't die at the end of Red Sorghum. In the play, Yu Zhanao, a powerful clown, lives by strength. He was deeply in love with Jiu-Er. This figure is sunny, masculine, manly and full of primitive vitality. He gradually grew from a sedan chair bearer who ate rough rice to a bandit leader who ate bread. When the Anti-Japanese War broke out, in the face of national justice, Yu Zhanao and Zhu county magistrate and other forces put aside their differences, stopped their disputes and fought against Japan together.
