What is internal strength?

The true biography of internal strength, also known as the four classics of internal strength, is unknown. Wang Nanxi, a soldier of the Lang Dynasty in Qing Dynasty, compiled notes and spread them around the world.

Since Fang Gong, a disciple of Southern Opera, published this book, it has little influence and is little known for hundreds of years. After the book flowed into the door of form and meaning, the name of form and meaning in Song Dynasty shocked the Wulin. Only then did the book become famous for boxing and people, and the four internal classics really became the "internal bible".

In recent years, "Four Books on Internal Skill" frequently appear in books and periodicals, and most martial artists worship God, but so far no one has translated and read the words of "Four Books on Internal Skill" in vernacular, and no one has explained their internal skills in detail in vernacular. Accompanied by this situation, it seems that in the past twenty years, China Wulin has never heard of any boxing school using this true story of internal skill to guide its academic practice, and it seems that no one has ever used this true story of internal skill to practice excellent internal skill.

What's going on here? On the one hand, it is worship and admiration, on the other hand, it is not normal to see his merits and demerits without knowing his words. Anyway, this phenomenon is not normal.

After discovering this strange phenomenon, I can't help but feel curious, so I study, interpret, sort out and interpret the Four Classics of Internal Work with a responsible attitude towards cultural inheritance, academic discipline and real life and a spirit of seeking truth from facts.

The same book, a paragraph of text, because readers have different backgrounds, different knowledge and different ideas, different viewpoints have their own characteristics. In other words, a person has his own way of reading, and a person has his own opinion. In the same way, my interpretation of the Four Classics of Internal Strength can only represent my personal opinion, which is not necessarily correct. Just make the family's opinions public and share some reading experiences with friends. You will be lucky if you don't mislead others by making thin statements! If this move is purely confusing, but it is criticized by famous artists, then I am lucky and the readers are lucky!

First, the original "Four Books on Internal Work"

1, internal meridian

The transmission of internal strength is true; After the former governor's office, he was full of enthusiasm; Well pool has two points, which are difficult to follow. Ever-changing, inseparable from books, endless mystery. The tortoise tail rises the qi, and the abdomen practices the spirit, and the qi goes to the sea to gather the heavenly heart.

Clear context, secondary format; Head upright, shoulders flat and smooth, chest closed, back flat and straight, feet steady and steady, knees bent and stretched, hips deep and hidden, ribs flat and open.

The format is clear, and the next sentence is very angry: even, tight, slow and long. Breathe first and then shout, one out and one in; First rise and then fall, one liter and one volt; Inhale the abdomen, the destination of qi, inhale and exhale, and don't make a sound. Take Gu Dao down, go to the Jade Pagoda, or sit or stand, inhale into the throat, deliberately send it down, and gradually close the bottom. Climb the road and lift the ribs together; Drop by drop, swallow it.

I am not only very clear about qi, but also very detailed about strength: fluency, penetrability, penetration, adhesion, looseness, fierceness, harmony and firmness. Yue Tong, Jin Shun also; Yuetou, speed also; Put it on, even have no strength; Yue paste, the power of the network; Song Yue, Jin Huan also; Yue Han, the extraction of power; Yue, one of the strengths; The stronger you are, the stronger you become.

Shoulder pressing exercises, hip pressing to strengthen knees, round hips to strengthen hips, raising the waist below the chest, raising the chin to be positive, changing hands against the back, and loosening the shoulders to give strength. Say horizontal strength, say strong strength, become clear, cross to strong economy, strong to horizontal use.

Five Qi Dynasties, Yuan Dynasty, cycle after cycle, the head of the four limbs, storing strange and wonderful things. Practice the spirit, return to nature, heaven and earth are created, water rises and fire falls, head and feet go up and down, and the handover is like a god. It glows when it is quiet and soars when it is moving. When you are angry, you will follow the shape. Handsome with god, handsome with gas, shape with gas.

Every morning, sit or stand, shut your mouth and breathe carefully. Breathe in through your nostrils when you come out and go in, but when you are calm. Then you will take a breath and meditate that the true qi rises from the spring to your ribs, from the ribs to your chest, from your chest to your ears, and gradually rises to Baihui point of Mud Pill. When descending qi, the meditation qi flows from the mud pill to Tang Yin, to the nose, to the throat, to the back, to the front heart and to the abdomen. When the abdomen is full of qi, it can recover from the tail, reach the back and rise to the mud pill. Cycle after cycle, depending on the principle of heaven and earth circulation.

2. gossip essence

Head and neck follow suit, take its hardness and take its purity.

Knee takes Hu Kun as an example, bearing its calmness and heaviness.

Shoulder and back are suitable for relaxation, indicating obedience.

You should tighten your crotch and show your love for Ze.

The chest needs to be practiced, and the mountain is similar.

The ribs are breathing, and the vibration is unpredictable.

Li Kan is like fire and water. Water helps fire and water.

Heart and kidney are the dirty of fire and water, water will rise and fire will fall.

3. the sacred sutra

Practice shape and firmness, practice essence and reality, practice qi and be strong, practice spirit and fly. Solid qi is the foundation of vertical and horizontal, and lifting qi is the foundation of soaring, so the shape of qi becomes full, and it can be vertical and horizontal, full of spirit and soaring.

Twelve internal skills

As the saying goes, the basic training is as steady as Mount Tai, the knees are firm, the legs are bent like columns, the crotch is concentrated inside and outside, and the chest and back are both rigid and soft.

Strike the enemy with the head upright, the three doors attached to the back, and the elbows standing horizontally, piercing the bone and breaking the strength of the other side.

Hanging under the strong bones, sweeping the enemy inside and sweeping the enemy outside, the overall situation is the same.

4. Earthworm Meridian

Lumbricus is a real classic, which is beneficial to the bottom attack. It practices the whole body, strengthens the spirit, stretches into a song and can live. It bends into a tiger, stretches into a dragon, walks without a trace, bends and stretches. Hard as iron, dense as a cage, tigers and leopards become fierce, falcons become sick. The left and right sides are clear before and after the fall, and the front attack is in the palm, and the second and third doors are the same; Fight back with feet, heels and knees; Far away, pursuing, near, meeting; Landing, sideways; If you lie on your back, you can only rely on bones; High and low,

Second, interpret the internal strength of the four classics

The Four Books of Internal Skill consist of four articles: Internal Skill Classic, Nagua Classic, Shenyun Classic and Tommy Tam Classic.

After repeated research and comparison of articles, it is not difficult to find that the so-called Naguajing is only an annotation and supplementary explanation to the format of Neigong Jing, that is, Gongjia. If we delete the names and images of the hexagrams in the Eight Diagrams Classic, it will not affect the actual expression of their meanings; Using divination to explain the classic of internal strength is to complicate the simple statement, confuse the clear statement and confuse the simple statement. From the perspective of modern boxing, it is unnecessary and redundant. Therefore, I think the article "Nagua Jing" should be excluded from "The True Story of Internal Strength".

It is not difficult to find that the ancient and modern commentators have always regarded the book as a monograph on servant skills, and interpreted all the twists and turns in the book as the content of servant skills, which is a great loss of original intention. If the first four sentences in Shen Yun Jing and the first four sentences in Tommy Tam Jing are interchanged, we can see that they are a "perfect combination" and immediately become a boxing classic with universal guiding significance for all-round fighting.

The section of "Shuai Yong Shen" in Shenyun Jing has different positions in different manuscripts. One is located in the Internal Meridian, and the other is listed in the first half of the Shenyun Classic. Based on this, we can guess that the paragraph "Handsome with God" is a loose page in the original document, and the organizer arranges its position according to personal opinions. In that case, why not put it in a place we think is more suitable?

"Practicing form can make people strong, practicing essence can make people strong, practicing qi can make people strong, and practicing spirit can make people fly" in Shenyun Jing has no practical significance, but only describes the efficacy of internal training-it has no operational significance, so it can be excluded from the biography of internal strength, and "Don't think about classics". The last four sentences in the Classic of Divine Luck are supplementary explanations to the first four sentences. "If the skin doesn't exist, what will the hair attach to?" You're welcome.

From this point of view, the book of earthworm is nameless, while the book of verve is unreal. At this point, we might as well have a "phase change" and combine the two classics, Shenyun and Dilong Jing, which are worthy of the name and do not hinder the view.

After completing these tasks. We will find that there are only two contents in the true biography of internal strength. One is the classic cultivation of internal strength, that is, "internal strength"; One is the application of Shen Yunjing, that is, "internal strength". From this point of view, it is more appropriate to rename The True Story of Internal Strength as The Classic of Internal Strength. Therefore, the classics compiled later were all named after the classics of internal skill.

Every copy of the Verve Classic is accompanied by twelve powerful internal strength. Through the analysis and analogy, we can find that the first four forces in the Top 12 have already been included in the format of Internal Skill Classics, while the last eight forces are actually not acting as force, but exerting content. Therefore, the first four sentences can be deleted and the last eight sentences can be classified as "good luck".

The classic original version of internal strength is summarized by eight words: "pass, head, wear, tie, loose, strong (sweat), close and strong". The interpretation of these eight words in the manuscript is like listening to Jianghu slang and foreign dialects in modern languages, which is really a bit confusing. For example, penetration means speed, penetration means connection, adhesion means winding, tenacity means pulling, firmness means expertise means energy, and adhesion means vertical and horizontal connection and joint firmness.

I've always wanted to explain these eight words in plain words. After a long period of lack of knowledge, I began to try to decipher this puzzle in a new way. Finally, I found that if these eight words are divided into four phrases, three of them can be explained in modern boxing language: "transparency" means fluency and thoroughness; "Loose and tough" means weak and strong; "Unity and firmness" means unity and firmness, which corresponds to modern stretch, flexibility and neatness.

After thinking hard about the rest of the "wearing stickers", I have to boldly assume that there is a typo in this sentence. After comparing the font with the cursive brushwork, I think that wearing characters is a mistake of tight characters, and "wearing stickers" should be "tight". After changing "sticking" to "persistence", the "penetrating" stretching of bones and muscles and the "persistent" flat attachment of muscles are both reflected in Gong Zhuang's strength formula. Since there is a more scientific statement, the original words can of course be omitted.

I admit that my interpretation of the Four Classics of Internal Strength is unorthodox-it not only "falsifies" the scriptures, but also denies the traditional views. Therefore, sorting out the true story of internal strength into the classic behavior of internal strength will uncover the most extraordinary scene in its spreading history. In a sense, it is tantamount to tearing down the bricks of ancient buildings and building an antique wall. I have expected that this move will be severely criticized by traditional guardians, and I will not be surprised or regret it.

In the eyes of many people, the heritage of the ancients is sacred and inviolable. The ink axes of the ancients can only be burned with high incense in order to raise their heads, and they can't change a word. There should be no objection. I really can't agree with this.

I think classics become classics because they are beneficial to and can serve reality. Times are progressing, society is changing and science is developing. Classics should also keep pace with the times, or they should be reinterpreted according to the needs of the times. Only in this way can the classics of the past remain classic now. It is obviously unwise to praise the ancient classics blindly and put them intact on the academic head of modern disciplines, because the wheel of history will not stop, nor will it go back to the past, and the magical wooden cows and horses can't keep up with the cars on today's expressway. The same is true of learning. If it can also guide people's actions, it can also become a reference book in people's hands. If it has become a pure cultural relic, let it rest in peace in the museum and disappear from the field of action.

Three. Modified Neijing

True biography of internal strength. The context is very real; After the former governor's office, he was full of enthusiasm; Double well and pool, follow vigorously. The tortoise tail rises, the abdomen is full of vital energy, the vital energy is at the bottom of the sea, and the light gathers the heavenly heart. Ever-changing, inseparable from the roots, endless mystery.

The foundation of internal strength starts from the pile, and the outline is broad: the head is upright, the shoulders are flat and stable, the chest is closed, and the feet are firm and stable. The spine is pulled out vertically, the ribs are open and open, the knees are flexed and stretched, and the crotch is hidden.

Internal breathing, peace and calm, inhalation and exhalation, no sound. Take Gu Dao, go to the Jade Pagoda, trade in the old for the new, and submit to humiliation.

Internal strength is like bowstring, full of water is like sail, and the pitch is even, steady and tight, and the work is slow for a long time.

The principle of internal strength is not illusory. It's not easy to blame if you do it internally. Deify the great fallacy, despise unprincipled, get the message, know the root and know the bottom.

Fourth, rearrange Shen Yunjing.

Handsome with spirit, handsome with spirit, spirit turns at will, and the shape leaps with spirit, fascinated and uplifted. Static is full, moving is running.

Stretching can be curved or alive. Curved like a tiger, Shu Zhan is better than a dragon. Go without a trace, bend over and sneak, turn fierce tigers and leopards into sick falcons. The body is as strong as iron, the law is as dense as a cage, the door has changed and the law is amorphous. Orderly before and after, clear left and right, chasing far away, welcoming near. Arbitrary height, vertical and horizontal length, such as fire, electricity, water and wind.

The skill of a servant can be just but soft, and the stone falls and the arrow leaves the string. If the ball is like a wheel, it will keep rolling and respond to all the feelings and act according to circumstances. Not as advanced as it is, it is not stopped, and forced demolition is ruthless.

Reaching without knowing, acting without thinking, adapting freely, comes from intuition. In addition to behavior, instinctively speaking, internal strength is good and reason is average.

Verb (abbreviation of verb) is defined.

The internal cultivation of traditional Wushu is closely related to human meridians. Simply put, the internal strength is generated by the internal qi flowing through two opposing meridians, one yin and one yang, and it is conducted from the near and far layers along the acupoints. For example, Xiao Zhoutian's internal strength is produced by the internal qi flowing through Ren Du's second pulse, and then condensed on the hand through Quchi Shoulder Well, showing great energy.

Internal qi runs along the meridian and can condense in different parts. Different parts of internal gas condensation have different effects. The change of posture can affect the change of internal qi, and the change of internal qi can affect the change of mentality. Therefore, when the spine is pulled up, the internal qi will rise, when the abdominal diaphragm sinks, the internal qi will drop, when it condenses in the brain, it is unpredictable, and when it condenses in the abdomen, it is calm.

The principle and law of internal work is nothing more than the complementary movement of yin and yang transformation. There is no exception to the fact that the real spirit of traditional martial arts and traditional health-keeping exercises runs like this on Sunday, and so does the track action of track boxing-the action on Sunday is conation, and the track action is vivid, one hidden and one obvious, one bright and one dark, which can be described as the same result and one goal. Once you understand the principle and principle of internal work, you can't help feeling that the traditional internal work method is a miracle of human science.

The cultivation of internal strength is best to start from standing piles. Pile frames are ever-changing and have different shapes, but it is certain that pile frames are large in shape. The head should be straight, the back should be upright, the shoulders should be flat, the collar should be straight, the chest should be empty, the ribs should be open, the waist should be straight, the abdomen should be miniature, the hips should be open, the hips should be closed, the legs and knees should be elastic, and the soles of the feet should be stable. The above are the principles that must be followed when standing piles.

Breathe calmly during internal training, and don't let yourself not hear your breathing. Lift the anus from the bottom, pull out the neck from the top, and breathe by abdominal breathing, slowly and deeply.

Attention should be paid to standing piles, and the shelves should be axially opposite, extending one after another; The strength should be consistent, the shape should be full, and the momentum should be solemn. Breathing is adjusted and trained to meet special requirements. The pile state is cultivated step by step from loose pile to tight pile and then to moving pile. Over time, it was completed unconsciously.

The principle of Wushu internal strength is neither mysterious nor complicated, and the specific modification of internal strength is not too difficult, but it is really difficult to achieve the goal without hard work. Therefore, it is wrong to deify internal strength intentionally or unintentionally, but it is also wrong to deny the role of internal strength cultivation. The existence of internal strength and what is obtained through practice can only be recognized and obtained through physical and mental evidence, and there is no other way.

Sixth, the interpretation of the Verve Classic.

God, form, qi and strength are born for reasons (not just "feelings"), and they are natural and not forced. The coincidence of shape, potential, qi and force is a sign that internal strength has reached the stage of fate.

When a person's internal strength reaches a lucky stage, walking, sitting and lying can be restrained by the enemy. Because the enemy won, the offender set servants, and the blocker set destroyers.

Faster reactions than thoughts come from instinct. Actions that are more accurate than judgment come from intuition. When people's primitive survival system is activated, once the gods intuitively feel that danger is approaching, the survival system will automatically start and run at an extremely fast speed, and the crisis will be directly lifted. This seemingly incredible phenomenon of internal force is nothing more than the survival system of human body, which solves practical problems according to the original laws.

Seven. Dynamic method of internal work

Let the body carry out concave-convex sequence and circular movement step by step, that is, the form-shifting training method of internal work. Practice has proved that even people who know nothing about meridians and internal qi can switch skills completely through vortex garden through deformation practice. This seems to show that being practical and powerful has more academic value than just being interested in gas.
