Yesterday (April 25th) at 9: 38 am, as one of the key projects of the 12th Provincial Games, the foundation project of Lingnan Mingzhu Gymnasium in Foshan City, located at Ji Hua 5th Road, Chancheng District, started the first hammer to break ground.

According to the person in charge of the venue construction center of the 12th Provincial Games, the Lingnan Pearl Gymnasium, which started construction yesterday, covers an area of 260,873 square meters and was designed by the Institute of Environmental Design of Japan Co., Ltd., with a total investment of about 550 million yuan (excluding land costs). The building consists of 5788 main gymnasiums, practice halls, public gymnasiums, national fitness squares and other ancillary facilities related to fitness, entertainment, shops and restaurants. The main gymnasium, the practice hall and the public hall are connected into a whole through three domes, and the beautiful arc is like three shining pearls, which will become one of the landmark buildings in Foshan after completion.

As one of the core construction projects in Foshan to welcome the 12th Provincial Games in 2006, Lingnan Pearl Gymnasium can not only host large-scale international and domestic events, but also meet the needs of citizens for fitness, performances, exhibitions, businesses and parties.
