Why are new energy vehicles smarter than traditional fuel vehicles? Can't the fuel truck be intelligent?

Different development strategies

In fact, the interaction between new energy car companies and traditional car companies has occurred from time to time. Musk once preached "how to build a safe and reliable rotten car" and laughed at the conservatism and ignorance of traditional car companies. Traditional car companies often say that Tesla system crashes and automatic driving is stupid.

Electric cars are much simpler. First of all, there are far fewer parts of electric vehicles, and there are no such things as throttle, fuel injector, high-voltage bag and gearbox. The data processed by the computer can be directly transmitted to the motor, battery and electronic control, and they can also react in a short time to realize accurate control.

OTA is divided into two categories: FOTA(Firmwar? Downloading firmware OTA and SOTA (Software? Software OTA corresponds to the upgrade of firmware program and software program respectively.

Firmware upgrade means that some parts can get different working conditions by writing new firmware programs without changing the original car accessories. For fuel vehicles, it usually takes 18-24 months to get the safest and most reliable engine ECU firmware program. For manufacturers, this time-consuming and laborious thing is only once.

In fact, the operating system of the fuel truck has been partially upgraded with software OTA, such as Ali's zebra system. At the firmware level, especially when it comes to power-related firmware upgrades, the fuel truck is a bit hard.

Even though OTA is rare in traditional car companies, many manufacturers have begun to try. For example, Chrysler and Dodge of FCA support OTA. In addition, the recently listed domestic car Geely Xingrui has also begun to support the OTA upgrade of the whole vehicle.

Someone once complained that the noise of Xingrui was a bit loud. Unexpectedly, the manufacturer received this feedback in just 20 days, and in this FOTA upgrade, the idle speed of the heat engine in sports mode was directly adjusted from 900 rpm to 750 rpm, which solved this problem.
