Mohe City belongs to Daxinganling region of Heilongjiang Province, located in the northwest of Heilongjiang Province, at the northern foot of Daxinganling. Mohe City is adjacent to Ergun City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in the west, genhe city and Huzhong District, Daxing 'anling, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in the south, Tahe County in the east, and Heilongjiang in the north, bordering the Russian Outer Baikal Territory and Amur Prefecture. The border line is 242 kilometers long.
Mohe City is 2.6 kilometers east of Enhe Hada, Inner Mongolia in the upper reaches of Heilongjiang, and down to the mouth of Shenikong River. The boundary line is 242km long, north-south wide150km, with a total area of18233km2. The area of Mohe County accounts for 2 1.6% of the total area of Daxing 'anling, accounting for 3.9% of the total area of the whole province, with a population density of 4.64 people per square kilometer.

Mohe belongs to the continental climate of cold temperate zone and is the lowest temperature city in China.
In winter, controlled by continental monsoon and Mongolian high pressure, strong cold air pushes from west to east, and precipitation drops sharply, which is extremely cold. The severe cold period is long, with the average temperature of 1 in February and 1 1 2 in February and March. When the Aleutian low pressure prevails in the Pacific Ocean, the pressure gradient between land and sea is -28℃.
